Itinerary
- Day 1
Glasgow
Your tour starts at 2:00 PM with a panoramic drive through central Glasgow, where you'll see red sandstone Victorian buildings, parks, and Glasgow Cathedral while learning about the River Clyde's shipbuilding past. After that, you head to Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum to walk through its art collections. In the evening, you'll have a welcome drink with your tour director and fellow travelers before heading out to find dinner on your own.

Loch Lomond - Inveraray Castle - Ballachulish
You'll board a cruise on Loch Lomond and take in its views from the water. After some time wandering around Inveraray, you grab lunch on your own, then get a guided tour of Inveraray Castle, which appeared in 'Downton Abbey.' From there, you'll drive across Rannoch Moor and through Glencoe before reaching Ballachulish for the night, positioned on the shore of Loch Leven.

- Day 3
Isle of Skye - Loch Ness
The day takes you through the Highlands and across the bridge to the Isle of Skye. You'll stop at Sligachan for lunch with views of the Cuillin Hills and check out the Sligachan Old Bridge, known for its legend about magical waters. Later, you pause to photograph Eilean Donan Castle before driving along Loch Ness's shores to reach your hotel.

- Day 4
Culloden Battlefield - Sheepdog Trials
Near Nairn, you'll spend time at Culloden Battlefield, where you walk around the grounds and visitor center to learn about the British government forces' victory over Prince Charles Edward Stuart's army. Next, you head to a local farm to watch trained dogs herding sheep and see how farmers work with these highly-skilled animals. The afternoon involves driving through the Grampian Mountains' high peaks on your way to the hotel.

You'll tour Blair Castle, home of the Dukes and Earls of Atholl, and learn about its connections to Mary Queen of Scots, Bonnie Prince Charlie, and Queen Victoria's visit, which led to Europe's only private army, the Atholl Highlanders. After that, you go behind the scenes at Blair Athol Distillery for a tour and taste the finished product. The afternoon is yours to relax at the hotel or shop in Pitlochry or Crieff.

Glamis Castle - St Andrews - Edinburgh
You travel through lush countryside to Glamis Castle, the legendary setting of 'Macbeth' and childhood home of the late Queen Mother, where you'll see priceless artifacts and furnishings throughout the rooms. Later, you have free time in St Andrews, the 'Home of Golf,' to explore the Royal and Ancient Clubhouse, the Old Course, and the medieval town itself. After reaching your hotel near Edinburgh, you'll enjoy a Scottish evening with traditional food, music, and dancing (though August 2-23 departures have the evening free to explore and dine independently).

Edinburgh
You'll explore Edinburgh's contrasts, starting with the wide streets and elegant mansions of the 200-year-old Georgian New Town, then moving to the narrow lanes and medieval townhouses of the Royal Mile in the oldest part of the city. A tour of Edinburgh Castle gives you splendid views across the city. The rest of the day is free for independent exploring, shopping, and dining. Note that August 2-23 departures get to see the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo on the Castle Esplanade.
