- Day 1
Lake Bled
Start your day at Lake Bled where you'll take a boat out to the island church and ring the bell for good luck. From there, hike up to Mala Osojnica viewpoint to see the whole lake spread out below you with the castle perched on its cliff and the Karavanke Mountains in the distance. The walk takes about an hour and the views are worth every step.

- Day 2
Pokljuka - Lake Bohinj
Cycle down from Pokljuka plateau into Bohinj Valley, taking in the alpine scenery as you descend. Once you reach the valley floor, you'll ride around Lake Bohinj toward Savica Waterfall, which drops impressively down the mountainside. After checking out the waterfall, take the cable car up Vogel Mountain where you can see the Julian Alps surrounding the lake from above. Plan for a few hours here since the views are extensive and you'll want to take your time.

Bohinj - Škofja Loka
You'll cycle uphill about 750 meters to reach Jelovica plateau, moving through green hills and wilderness areas. Along the way you'll pass through some historic villages before arriving in Skofja Loka, one of Slovenia's oldest towns with character and charm. Stop by the hilltop castle there to explore and get another perspective of the town below. The climbing is steady but manageable if you pace yourself.

- Day 4
Škofja Loka - Brdo Estate
This is a lighter cycling day across the Sora plain with the Kamnik-Savinja Alps visible the whole time as your backdrop. If the weather cooperates, there's a chance to take a swim in a pure alpine lake near Preddvor village to cool off. By evening you'll reach Brdo Estate, a former royal and presidential residence where you can walk through the beautiful park grounds and relax before dinner.

Kranj - Radovljica
Begin by visiting Kranj, the historic capital of Carniola, then head to the village of Kropa where you can tour the iron forging museum and learn about traditional blacksmith techniques. Later you'll cycle along the edge of Jelovica plateau toward Radovljica, an old town that's well preserved and worth a proper look. There's also a beekeeping museum there if you're interested in how local honey production works.

Radovljica - Kranjska Gora
Cycle along the edge of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps to Begunje where the Museum of Hostages shares stories from WWII and German occupation. From there, you can explore the ruins of Kamen Castle nearby before continuing through dramatic alpine landscapes between the Julian and Karawanke Mountains toward Kranjska Gora. If you have time, a side trip to Planika Valley shows you where the famous ski jumping competitions take place, and the valley itself is visually striking.

- Day 7
Triglav National Park - Vintgar Gorge
Return to Triglav National Park and follow the Sava Dolinka River to where it joins the Sava Bohinjka, creating Slovenia's longest river. Explore the Krma Valley starting from Mojstrana where you'll find WWII monuments and traditional farmhouses, including one that functions as a museum. Grab lunch at a mountain hut positioned at the base of Triglav, Slovenia's highest peak at 2,864 meters. Afterward, head through Radovna Valley and visit Vintgar Gorge, a 1.6 kilometer gorge carved by the Radovna River that opened to visitors back in 1891.
