Buenos Aires
You'll land at Ministro Pistarini International Airport and head straight to your hotel with early check-in arranged. After settling in, you'll get your Argentina Challenge Adventure Kit and then take a 2-hour walking tour with a local guide. The choice is yours here - either explore the elegant northern neighborhoods with their European-style architecture, or check out the bohemian trendy areas. The tour wraps up with local ice cream, which is a nice way to start your time in Buenos Aires.

Buenos Aires
Today you'll see Buenos Aires's main attractions on a guided tour starting with Plaza de Mayo and Casa Rosada. From there, you'll move through San Telmo, La Boca, and Recoleta neighborhoods with their strong European influence. The afternoon takes you to Recoleta Cemetery where you'll see impressive tombs including Eva Peron's. By evening you'll head back to your hotel with a snack and water provided along the way.

San Antonio de Areco
You'll travel out to the countryside to El Ombú estancia in San Antonio de Areco for authentic gaucho culture. After walking through the town's historic streets and checking out the museums and old stores, lunch is a traditional asado barbecue at the ranch. In the afternoon, you can choose between horseback riding or biking through nature (swimming's available too if it's summer). The drive back to Buenos Aires happens by evening.

El Calafate
Your flight takes you to El Calafate in Southern Patagonia, and you'll transfer to your hotel with early check-in guaranteed. This town sits right at the gateway to Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the few glaciers still advancing in the world. If you're interested, there's an optional visit to Nibepo Aike ranch for horseback riding, gaucho demonstrations, and a traditional Patagonian asado dinner.

- Day 5
El Calafate
You'll head out early morning to Los Glaciares National Park, about 80 km away. At Punta Bandera you'll board the Cruz del Sur vessel and sail through Canal de los Témpanos. The boat stops at Bahía Toro for waterfall views, then Cerro Negro to see the hanging Black Glacier. Next comes Perito Moreno Glacier where you'll spend time on the catwalks. On the return, you'll stop at Glaciarium Museum to learn about glacier history before heading back to your hotel.

El Calafate
This is your free day in El Calafate. You could visit Cerro Frías outdoor activity center for horseback riding, ziplines, trekking, or 4x4 circuits with views of Lago Argentino and the surrounding mountains. Lunch happens at the quincho with mate and Argentine pastries in the afternoon. Or if you prefer something different, head to Laguna Nimes ecological reserve to see about 80 bird species and grab lunch at Buenos Cruces restaurant.

El Calafate to Ushuaia
You'll transfer from your hotel to the airport for your flight to Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world. After arriving and checking into your hotel, you'll take a 2-hour private walking tour with a local guide. The tour covers the waterfront promenade, the former government house, and the End of the World Museum where you'll learn about the area's history and the famous prison that operated there.

- Day 8
Tierra del Fuego National Park
You'll spend a full day (8 hours) in Tierra del Fuego National Park. The main hike is the Coastal Path, about 4 miles with ups and downs, showing off views of lakes, sea, and mountains. Hot lunch gets served in a heated dome-tent with panoramic views. Later you'll paddle inflatable canoes down the freshwater Lapataia River for roughly an hour to reach Lapataia Bay where Route 3 ends. There's also an option to ride the Tren del Fin del Mundo instead if you prefer.

Martillo Island Penguin Colony
Starting at the tourist pier, you'll take a bus to Martillo Island via Estancia Harberton. The drive goes through Fuegian forest, winter centers, and peat valleys where you'll see the famous flag trees. You'll visit the Acatushán Museum of Birds and Marine Mammals, then board a semi-rigid boat for Martillo Island. There you'll walk marked trails for about an hour alongside Magellanic and Gentoo penguins with a specialized guide explaining their lives. After that you'll return to Harberton and head back to the tourist pier.
