Itinerary
- Day 1
Kilimanjaro/Arusha Airport to Arusha
You'll arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport and get transferred to your lodge in Arusha. The afternoon is yours to decide how you want to spend it. Some people like to explore the city and walk through the markets with a local guide, while others prefer to settle in and relax at the hotel after traveling.

- Day 2
Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, you'll head out early toward Lake Manyara National Park. This park has five different ecosystems, so you'll see a lot of variety in the landscape and wildlife. Over 380 bird species live here, plus elephants, buffalo, zebras, giraffes, and if you're lucky, leopards and lions. Lunch happens in the park, and then you'll drive to Karatu for the night.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area to Serengeti
Leaving early means you'll reach the Ngorongoro Conservation Area by mid-morning. The crater sits at 2,200 meters elevation and holds about 30,000 large mammals including buffalo, lions, elephants, cheetahs, and rhinos. You'll get a picnic lunch inside the crater, then continue on to the Serengeti where your tented camp is waiting.

Serengeti National Park
Today you're spending the full day in Serengeti National Park, which is Tanzania's oldest and largest park. The plains here go on and on, and during certain times of year you'll see the wildebeest and zebra migration. Lions and other predators like hyenas, cheetahs, and leopards hunt across this landscape, and there are crocodiles in the rivers too.

- Day 5
Serengeti National Park to Karatu
You'll continue exploring the Serengeti with its vast grasslands and rocky outcrops called kopjes where predators rest and hunt. Along the rivers and under acacia trees, you can spot crocodiles, hippopotamuses, and leopards. After lunch, you'll start heading back toward Karatu, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area on the way.

Landmarks Serengeti National Park - Day 6
Tarangire National Park to Arusha
Tarangire National Park is home to more elephants than anywhere else in northern Tanzania. The landscape here has baobab trees scattered across the savannah, many of them over 2,000 years old and really impressive to see. Wildlife viewing is particularly good during the drier months. You'll have lunch in the park and then drive back to Arusha.

Arusha to Zanzibar
After breakfast, you've got time to shop at Arusha's markets for any last souvenirs. Then you'll head to the airport for your internal flight to Zanzibar. When you land on the island, someone will meet you and take you to where you're staying.

- Day 8
Zanzibar (Jambiani Beach)
You'll spend the day at Mwezi Boutique Resort overlooking Jambiani, a 7km stretch of beach with golden sand and palm trees that hasn't been overrun by tourists. The resort uses eco-friendly design with traditional Swahili techniques mixed with modern comfort. There's a restaurant with views and a pool built right into the landscape, plus fresh local food throughout the day.
