  First of all let me say I felt very safe. The was involving Israel had no impact on how safe our group felt. The Egypt part of tour ( 10 days ) was too chaotic - everyone in our group was exhausted. Some places we visited like a library in Alexandria could be missed and Mo ( although a very knowledgeable man on Egyptian History ) talked way to much so then our days were too overloaded with information. We stayed in 5 star accommodation which was all excellent but we only had 1 breakfast and there for late limited dinners as we were leaving between 4 am and 6 am each day and getting back after dinner was done. Seeing the Sphinx and Pyramids, Karnak Temmple, Catacombs, hot air ballooning over Valley of Kings, Luxor Temple and Botanical Gardens were all amazing. Accommodation on the Nile Cruise was also excellent. Jordan trip was amazing. Osama, our guide had our starts at between 8 am and 10am. Back in time to enjoy our accommodations. One or 2 attractions to see a day and most of talking by Osama done in the bus on way to attractions. Dead Sea , Petra and Wadi Rum absolutely amazing as was Amman. Have come back re fresher after being exhausted after Egypt. Hope this is constructive review as the things to see in Egypt are amazing but the majority of people do not want or can take in a crash course in Egyptian History. The guides have probably all done 4 yr course to have this knowledge.Show more

  The tour was generally good, and our guide in Egypt was excellent; however, the rating of five stars was a stretch - four stars would be more accurate. Some of the features that were advertised (and were what made me choose Circonia) were not what we got. For instance, the tour was supposed to be a small group tour with a maximum of 16 people - there were 22 in our group, and four of those people said that they only booked a month or two out from departure - meaning the tour was still being advertised while already oversubscribed. Everyone in the group had an itinerary that said we would visit the amphitheater in Alexandria; however, the guide said that that attraction had never been on the Circonia itinerary. The original itinerary had the Memories Aicha Luxury Camp at Wadi Rum but our group was accommodated at a different camp (not as good), and we were very disappointed to learn that a second Circoina group on a parallel tour actually stayed at the Memories Aicha Luxury Camp that was listed in the original itinerary. The other Circonia group also had a better ship for their Nile Cruise. The accommodation at Petra was also changed, and while the hotel was lovely, there was a no-alcohol policy that we were not forewarned about.Show more

  Overall, the experience was good. The only thing that bothered me was that I found the population of both countries (Egypt and Jordan) a bit racist, mainly Egypt. I'm from Brazil, and here we are 55% mixed people, so to a large extent, we look physically like Arabs. Many times, I was with the group of Americans and Australians in my group, chatting, and I was totally ignored by the locals, and when they understood that I was part of the tourist group, they made a face of disdain. The staff that assisted us in both countries were excellent, the problem was with the locals. I would never return to either of the 2 countries. I was surprised by this attitude. Of course, not everyone acted like this, but it was too large a number not to notice. Unfortunately.Show more
