Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu to Bhutan
You'll check out early and head to the airport for an 8:45 a.m. flight to Bhutan. The flight itself is noteworthy for the Himalayan views you'll see, including Mt. Everest and Kanchenjunga from the air. After landing, you have a 1.5 hour drive to Thimphu ahead of you. Once there, you'll hike up to Buddha Point (Kuenselphodrang) through the nature park, which takes about 20-30 minutes. From there, head to the National Textile Museum to see what the afternoon has to offer.

- Day 2
Thimphu to Paro
After breakfast, you'll start at Bhutan Post Office Headquarters where you can get personalized postage stamps with your photo. Next, head to Jungshi Paper Factory to see traditional Bhutanese paper making, then check out the School of Traditional Painting of Arts and Crafts. If the Centenary Farmers' Market is open (it runs Thursday-Sunday), you'll get a chance to walk through and shop for local goods. The afternoon includes watching archery at Changlimithang National Stadium around 1:30 p.m., then after lunch you'll drive to Paro. You'll tour Rinpung Dzong fortress and wander through the Paro Valley farmhouses, town, and market before checking into your hotel around 6:00 p.m.

- Day 3
Paro
You'll start at 8:30 a.m. with a hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's Nest), which is one of Bhutan's most well-known sites. The first part of the hike to the viewpoint takes roughly 1.5 hours and offers views along the cliff side. You'll take a break at the View Point Cafeteria, then continue hiking for another 1.5 hours to reach the monastery itself, the place where Guru Rinpoche is believed to have meditated back in the 8th century. After exploring the monastery, you'll have lunch at the cafeteria. Later, you'll make your way to Kyichu Temple, one of 108 temples built in the 7th century. Your evening includes dinner at the hotel followed by a cultural show.

Paro to Kathmandu
In the morning you'll check out and transfer to the airport for your departure flight to Nepal. When you arrive in Kathmandu, a transfer takes you to your hotel in Thamel. The afternoon is free, so you'll have time to walk around Thamel's winding streets and pick up anything you need before you leave Nepal.
