Itinerary
- Day 1
San Cristóbal
Your private guide will pick you up at the airport and drive you to the hotel. After grabbing lunch together, you'll head to the Interpretation Center to learn how the islands formed and their history, then hike up to Frigatebird Hill for views across the landscape. From there, you'll snorkel at either Tijeretas Bay or Carola Beach where sea lions, tropical fish, and sea turtles show up fairly often. The rest of the evening is open, so you can relax and find dinner on your own.

- Day 2
San Cristóbal
You get to choose your adventure for the day. Option 1 takes you out to Kicker Rock (León Dormido) for snorkeling with sharks, rays, and turtles, including the possibility of hammerhead sharks. You'll have lunch on the boat and time at a secluded beach, then the afternoon is yours to watch the sunset at Playa Mann or take a taxi to La Lobiería for the Barranco cliff trail hike. Option 2 has you exploring Lobos Island instead, hiking through rough terrain and spotting blue-footed boobies, marine iguanas, and frigate birds. After snorkeling in clear waters, you'll visit the quiet Ochoa Beach. (Which island you visit depends on what the National Park has available.)

San Cristóbal
Start the day at Laguna del Junco, an extinct volcano lake about 19 kilometers from the port that's fed entirely by rainwater. After that, you'll check out the Galapaguera de Cerro Colorado breeding center where you can see plants found nowhere else and learn about tortoise conservation. Lunch comes later in the highlands, then you'll head to Puerto Chino beach for some relaxation and birdwatching. Getting there's easy, just a short 15-minute walk on a well-maintained trail.

San Cristóbal to Santa Cruz
Your guide picks you up at 6:30 AM for a 7:00 AM speedboat headed to Santa Cruz, a trip that takes about 2 hours. Once you arrive, a local guide helps you get to a ranch in the highlands where you can see giant tortoises in their natural surroundings grazing and soaking in muddy pools. After lunch at a local spot, you'll visit the Charles Darwin Research Station to see what the island ecosystems are like and learn about breeding programs. You'll check into your Santa Cruz hotel this evening and can either walk around Puerto Ayora or rest after the full day.

- Day 5
Santa Cruz to Isabela
Your hotel pickup is at 6:30 AM with a 7:00 AM speedboat heading to Isabela Island, roughly 2 hours away. Once you check in at your hotel, you'll have lunch before going to Las Tintoreras, a small chain of islets just south of Puerto Villamil. You can snorkel in shallow clear water to spot white-tipped reef sharks, tropical fish, sea lions, marine turtles, iguanas, manta rays, and more. The bay has a shallow channel that gets cut off during low tide, which makes it pretty unique.

- Day 6
Isabela
After hotel breakfast, your guide picks you up to explore the volcanic landscapes in northern Isabela with views of volcanoes on both Isabela and Fernandina. You'll hike about 16 kilometers to Sierra Negra Volcano and Chico Volcano, checking out the second-largest volcanic crater in the world and different vegetation zones along the way. After lunch, the afternoon is free to relax on Isabela's beaches or snorkel in Laguna Concha de Perla to see sea turtles, rays, and colorful fish. You'll stay on Isabela another night.

Isabela to Santa Cruz
Morning boat ride to Cabo Rosa (also called the Tunnels) takes about 45 minutes. You'll explore lava tunnels and arches created when lava flowed into the ocean, with Galápagos penguins, blue-footed boobies, and marine turtles hanging around. The best part is snorkeling in clear waters among white-tipped reef sharks, sea turtles, playful sea lions, rays, seahorses, and tropical fish. The whole tour runs about five hours. At 3:00 PM you'll board a speedboat back to Santa Cruz, arriving in the evening. Check into your hotel and explore the lively Puerto Ayora however you'd like.

Santa Cruz to Baltra Airport
You'll have breakfast at your hotel. After that, your driver will take you to the Itabaca Channel, where you'll cross by ferry to Baltra Island and get dropped at Baltra Airport for your flight. Safe travels!
