Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Kathmandu

You'll land at Kathmandu International Airport where a representative meets you for the hotel check-in. After that, the afternoon and evening are completely open. Take time to walk around this historic city, grab some local food, or just rest up after your flight. The vibe here is busy but friendly, so there's plenty to see if you feel like exploring on your own.

    Optional Activities

    • Explore Kathmandu city
  2. Day 2

    Kathmandu

Start with breakfast, then head out on a full guided tour of Kathmandu. You'll check out Durbar Square first, where temples and old Newari architecture fill the space. From there, it's on to Swoyambhunath Stupa on a hilltop with great city views. Next comes Pashupatinath Temple along the Bagmati River, and then Boudhanath, one of the largest Buddhist stupas around. By evening, there's a welcome dinner to kick things off properly.

The trail takes you through the hamlet of Chhunthawa and Phakding, then continues past Zamphute and Tok Tok with Thamserku mountain visible. You'll walk through several Sherpa villages and reach Monjo after roughly three hours, so it's a moderate day to build your trail legs.

The second half gets steeper as you climb after crossing a high bridge over the Dudhkoshi River gorge. EBC tour was great. Sabita was always available to us throughout the tour whenever we needed anything. Our guide Tshiring was excellent throughout the 12 day trek. We would have not completed the trek to EBC without his help and support. I would highly recommend female guide to anyone doing the EBC trek.
