- Day 1
Negombo
Your guide meets you at Colombo International Airport and takes you to Negombo, a fishing town just outside the airport. You'll have time to walk around and check out the Dutch Canal, a waterway from the colonial period that was part of the old spice trade routes.

- Day 2
Anuradhapura
After breakfast, you'll drive about 4 hours to Anuradhapura, one of Sri Lanka's ancient capitals and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Spend the day looking at the ruins including dagobas, old monastic buildings, and royal ponds. Back at your hotel later, you can relax or get an optional Ayurvedic herbal massage if you're interested.

- Days 3 - 4
Polonnaruwa - Minneriya
Following breakfast, head to Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka's second ancient kingdom and another UNESCO site. You'll see the ruins there and then visit a local village to get a sense of traditional ways of life. Next comes a safari at Minineriya National Park where you can see hundreds of elephants in the wild. Later you'll return to your hotel in Sigiriya to rest up.

- Day 5
Sigiriya - Dambulla - Matale - Kandy
After breakfast and checkout, head to Sigiriya, a rock formation that rises 200 meters high and served as a royal palace for King Kashyapa in the 5th century. Climbing to the top, you'll pass ancient wall paintings and the Mirror Wall, plus the massive stone lion paws. Then you'll visit Dambulla Cave Temple carved into caves with ancient artwork. The route through Matale includes a Hindu Temple and Spice Garden. You'll finish the day in Kandy with the Temple of the Tooth and a traditional cultural dance show.

- Day 6
Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
Begin with the Botanical Garden in Kandy, then travel to the tea region of Nuwara Eliya. You'll stop at Ramboda waterfall tea factory to see how tea's made and taste some fresh brew. Nuwara Eliya has colonial architecture like the Queen's Cottage, Grand Hotel, Hill Club, and Town Post Office. Spend your evening in the cool, misty climate.

- Day 7
Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast, you'll head to Horton Plains National Park to explore grasslands, cloud forests, and World's End viewpoint with its distinctive views. The park has wildlife and walking trails to check out. If you want, finish with High Tea at the Grand Hotel Nuwara Eliya later in the day.

- Day 8
Nuwara Eliya to Ella
From Horton Plains, you'll take a scenic train ride from Nanu Oya to Ella in the afternoon. The route shows off tea plantations, misty mountains, and small villages. Your guide handles bags and meets you at Ella station. Once there, you can see waterfalls, the Nine Arch Bridge, and hike Little Adam's Peak for views. The town center has good bars and restaurants to explore in the evening.

Ella to Yala
After breakfast, leave Ella and travel to Yala for wildlife spotting. In the evening, you'll go on a safari at Yala National Park looking for leopards, bears, and birds. Following the safari, there's a BBQ dinner in a quiet setting. You'll stay at Tissa Lake View Hotel overnight.

Mirissa
After breakfast, head to Mirissa, known for whale-watching and beaches. You'll spend the next two days relaxing on the coast, which has a laid-back feel. Fresh seafood and ocean views are available at beachfront restaurants and cafes throughout the area.

- Days 12 - 13
Mirissa to Bentota via Galle
After breakfast, go to Bentota through Galle. On the way, stop to see the stilt fishermen of Weligama using traditional methods. The Old Portuguese Fort in Galle has been rebuilt by the Dutch and is well-maintained. In Bentota, you'll do a Madu River safari through mangroves spotting wildlife. You have two days to relax on the beaches here.

- Day 14
Bentota to Colombo Airport
After breakfast, leave Bentota for the airport. Along the way, you'll get a city tour of Colombo before heading to the airport. Drop-off happens between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
