Itinerary
- Day 1
Casablanca
Your driver will pick you up at Casablanca airport and take you to your hotel. Depending on what interests you, there's time to visit historic Jewish synagogues like Temple Beth-El, Temple Em Habanim, and Neve Chalom (note that some sites may have religious restrictions). You'll spend the night in Casablanca.

- Day 2
Rabat - Meknes - Moulay Idriss
An 8am transfer gets you headed toward Rabat and Moulay Idriss. Start with an early visit to Rabat's old quarter, then walk up to Kasbah des Oudaias for views over the Atlantic. From there, a 3-hour private minibus ride takes you through scenic countryside to Moulay Idriss, a sacred pilgrimage village once off-limits to non-Muslims. The ancient town shows traditional Moroccan life around the tomb of Moulay Idriss I. By sunset you'll have views over the Volubilis plains below. You'll stay overnight in a guesthouse.

- Day 3
Meknes - Fes
A guided tour of Volubilis archaeological site shows you layers of history from Berber and Roman civilizations. You'll see impressive mosaics along the Decumanus Maximus with a local guide. After exploring the ruins, head to Meknes, the Imperial city built by Sultan Moulay Ismail in the 17th century, where you get a few hours to walk around. Later, a one-hour drive takes you to Fes, where you'll stay two nights in Morocco's spiritual and cultural heart with its vast medieval medina.

Fes
Join a guided group walking tour through Fes el Bali, the old city. The maze-like medina takes you past craftsmen, markets, tanneries and mosques. Donkeys laden with goods navigate through one of the world's largest car-free urban zones as you explore different souk sections. You'll see the restored Medersa Bou Inania, Medresse el Attarine, and the 18th-century Funduk Nejjarine inn. The famous tannery shows its iconic dye pits, and you'll visit a ceramics factory where potters still work traditionally.

Fes to Chefchaouen
A 4-hour local journey takes you to Chefchaouen, set between two peaks in the Rif Mountains. The isolated town surprises with its blue and whitewashed houses, red-tiled roofs and artistic doorways. Andalusian refugees recreated much of it, giving it a Spanish hill town feel. You can explore the ancient medina at a relaxed pace, shop for wool garments and woven blankets, or hike in the Rif Mountains. Try the local goat cheese at a cafe while you're there.

- Day 6
Chefchaouen
This day is yours to explore Chefchaouen however you'd like. Wander through the medina's sights, sounds and smells, or grab local goat cheese at a cafe in Plaza Uta el-Hammam. Check out the 15th-century Grand Mosque, browse shops selling woven goods and small sweets, and see the walled Kasbah with its gardens and ethnographic museum. The rooftop offers great views. In the evening, have a tagine at a local restaurant or visit a hammam, the traditional Moroccan spa.

Chefchaouen to Tangier
A 3-hour private minibus ride takes you to Tangier, the coastal town with strategic Mediterranean importance and Africa's gateway. Once a hotspot for artists and secret agents, Tangier has had a renaissance since 1999 under King Mohammed VI. Check out the medina and kasbah, visit cafes and patisseries around Place de la France in the Ville Nouvelle, and consider the American Legation Museum, Dar el-Makhzen palace, or Caves of Hercules. The recently rebuilt beach promenade has restaurants worth trying. You'll stay overnight in Tangier.

Tangier to Marrakech
The drive from Tangier to Marrakech takes about 6 hours 30 minutes. Late afternoon gives you time to explore Marrakech's medina with its countless souqs, each focused on different trades like pottery, woodwork, copper, leather, carpets and spices. Stop by the well-known Koutoubia Mosque and its 12th-century minaret, famous as the model for Seville's Giralda tower. In the evening, join the crowds at Djemaa el Fna, the main square, which fills with henna-painters, performers, storytellers and street food when night falls. Dinner here is optional. You'll stay overnight in Marrakech.
