- Day 1
Dublin to Kilkenny
Start heading out from Dublin along Ireland's Ancient East, driving through the Wicklow Mountains on the Military Road. You'll stop at Glendalough Monastery, which sits in a glacial valley and has some interesting history. After that, it's on to Kilkenny Castle for a guided tour of the medieval fortress. The afternoon leaves you time to walk around medieval Kilkenny's old quarter and explore the charming streets before settling into your accommodation for the night.

- Day 2
Kilkenny to Blarney to Killarney
You'll leave Kilkenny and drive through Tipperary toward Cahir Castle, a 13th-century stronghold sitting on a rocky island that's worth the stop. From there, head to Blarney Castle where you can kiss the famous Blarney Stone and wander through the castle's gardens and dungeons. By evening you'll reach Killarney, Kerry's main hub, where there's time to catch some traditional music and soak in the local atmosphere.

- Day 3
Killarney to Dingle
This morning you'll see Muckross House and Gardens, a Victorian mansion within Killarney National Park, then walk to the nearby Torc Waterfall. Later you'll go through the Gap of Dunloe, a glacial mountain pass with dramatic views that's great for photos. The afternoon takes you west through Kerry countryside to Dingle, where you can spend the evening wandering the charming streets, trying seafood restaurants, and catching traditional music in the local pubs.

- Day 4
Dingle
Today you're tackling the Slea Head Drive, one of Ireland's most well-known routes, with sweeping Atlantic views, windswept cliffs, ancient stone huts, and small coves along the way. You'll stop at several spots including Beehive Huts, Gallarus Oratory, Dunquin Pier, and Coomeenoule Beach, with your guide sharing local stories and pointing out hidden areas. Back in Dingle, you'll tour the Dingle Distillery to learn about their craft spirits and have a tasting. Spend the evening relaxing in the colorful harbour town.

- Day 5
Dingle to Spanish Point
Start with a relaxed morning in Dingle before heading north. You'll cross the River Shannon by ferry, a scenic crossing where you might spot seabirds. Once in County Clare, you'll experience the dramatic limestone landscape of the Burren. Stop for lunch in Lahinch, then drive to the Cliffs of Moher, which rise 214 metres above the Atlantic. The day finishes in Spanish Point, a quiet coastal village with a nice sandy beach and ocean views.

Spanish Point to Galway

Walk through this unique landscape and try local offerings. Then continue through Burren National Park to see the rare plants and dramatic limestone pavements. By afternoon you'll arrive in Galway City, exploring the colorful cobbled streets, lively pubs, boutique shops, and cafes before settling in for the night.

- Day 7
Galway to Connemara and return to Galway
From Galway you'll explore Connemara, a region with shimmering lakes, tall mountains, and traditional Irish culture. You'll travel through the Galway Gaeltacht, the Irish-speaking area, passing Lough Corrib, Ireland's largest lake. Visit Kylemore Abbey and its Victorian Walled Gardens on a 1,000-acre estate overlooking Kylemore Lake. Stop in Leenaun village for views over Killary Harbour, Ireland's only fjord. You'll see a traditional sheepdog demonstration, then return through Cong village before heading back to Galway for your final night.

Galway to Dublin
Your last day starts with a Walk, Talk and Taste Tour through Galway led by a local guide, exploring the city's stories, historic lanes, and local food specialties. This gives you a real sense of Galway's character before you leave the west behind. Then you'll drive east through Ireland's changing countryside, heading back to Dublin. You'll arrive later in the day as your 8-day trip wraps up, taking with you all those landscapes and memories from the journey.
