Thank you for your feedback Besse, we are very glad to hear you enjoyed the Iguazú Falls and had a good experience on the Argentinian side with your guide. We’re sorry, however, for the confusion on arrival and the lack of clear communication during the Brazilian portion of the tour. We’ll follow up with the local team to ensure all guides provide consistent support in English when required, and that accommodation bookings are properly confirmed in advance to avoid stress on arrival. We appreciate you sharing this, and we’re happy it didn’t take away from the overall beauty of the experience.

I'm looking to book the Iguazu Falls on a shoestring in late August 2026. Could you please advise the cost of a single room, and also if it is possible to book a helicopter flight through you, and if so what that cost would be.

Could you please tell us if you´re interested in a Single Room in Hostel or Hotel?

And yes, we can add the helicopter ride. I will ask the provider the price now.
Please know that the helicopter ride can be done only on the brazilian side of the park, and that you would also need a supplement for the transfer that takes you back to your accommodation. This is because, as you stay more time in the park for the helicopter ride, the regular transfer has a fixed departure time.

Price fir single room in hostel and also hotel, and the transfer suppliment please

    • Hi Travel ArgentinaOperatorWritten January 2026

The price for the trip if you stay in Single Room Hostel is: 456 USD per person
The price for the trip if you stay in Single Room Hotel 3* is: 481 USD per person

Now, regarding the helicopter ride and the supplement, the provider told me the following:
The price for the helicopter ride today is: 216 USD, but until August comes it can be updated. So, this is a tentative price, please know that it could increase.
And as for the supplement for your private return from the park, it is now 48 USD.

      TravelerWritten December 2025

I was questioning the security of my luggage, if I was to go with your standard tour, and not upgrade to a private room. My understanding is that the accommodation would be in a shared, dormitory type room. As I'm planning on travelling for a couple of months I don't wish to carry towel, for just a few nights, so was interested in the price to hire one.

    • Hi Travel ArgentinaOperatorWritten December 2025

The rooms have lockers and that you should bring your own lock for it. And they told me that they can give you towels/hair dryer/iron in exchange for your document while you are using it. Once you are done using the towel/hair dryer/iron, you give it back and they give you back your documentation.

is it possible to do the helicopter ride as well while doing this tour?

    Tour Details
    • Hi Travel ArgentinaOperatorWritten November 2025

The helicopter tours has to be done during the Brazilian side of the falls tour. If you want to do it, we have to coordinate on the way in to the park whern you begfin the tour or on the way out of the park when you finish it, most likely this last choice, as the rides take of just before the entrance. As the tour will continue and you will stop for the ride, you will need to pay a suplement for someone to wait only for you to take you back to the hotel. If you want to try we can quote you this extra transportation and the ride to see if it is worth to do it.

Overflight the Iguaçu Falls! This helicopter flight gives a completely different and unique perspective of the spectacular Iguazu Falls. It departs from the Brazilian heliport in Foz do Iguaçu, for an amazing 10-minute flight over the Iguazu Falls National Park. The pilot will make sure that all passengers have incredible views over the falls, flying in different directions and several times over the different falls.

This itinerary includes pick up and drop off in IGR Airport or/and Bus Stations, with accommodation in Puerto Iguazu, Argentina. The entrance fees to the National Parks (both in Argentina and Brazil) are not included in this package. They can be paid in cash at the moment or even online, as you prefer. The supplement private transfer applies when your arriving flight doesn't allow you to catch the regular transfer (that's included in the price) to your accommodation between 7am and 9pm.

I would like to get information regarding the Iguazu Falls on a Shoestring trip. Is airport pickup and drop-off included? Is the tour guaranteed to proceed if booked? • Hi Travel ArgentinaOperatorWritten July 2025

Yes, both airport pickup and drop-off are included in the itinerary. Yes, this is a guaranteed departure. Once booked, your trip will proceed as scheduled. Sleeping arrangements will depend on the type of accommodation you choose: If you book a shared dorm, you'll stay in a room with 4–6 beds alongside other travelers. If you prefer a private room, that option is also available. The only meal included is breakfast, which is provided by the accommodation. Other meals are at your own expense, but we're happy to recommend local restaurants or food options. This is an individual trip, so your transportation and accommodation are arranged just for you. However, excursions are done in regular/shared groups, meaning you'll join other travelers for the day tours, but not necessarily the same people throughout your itinerary. As a Canadian passport holder, you can enter Argentina for up to 90 days without a visa for tourism purposes. You just need a valid passport (recommended to have at least 6 months of validity) and proof of onward travel (such as a return flight).

    Asked on April 20th, 2025

Where do we get our meals from since they are not included? What time approximately would we get back to our hostel on day 3? Would it be possible to go to the airport after crossing the Brazilian border instead of going to the hotel on day 3? Do we carry all of our luggage throughout the trip or do we leave it at the hotel/hostel?

    Meals
    Tour Details
    Transport
    • Hi Travel ArgentinaOperatorWritten April 2025

You have only breakfast included. Other meals can be taken in national parks, on Iguazu falls tours, or at restaurants in town. Day 3 is a half day tour to the Brazilian side, ending past mid day (12.30 - 13.30). With lunch offered, you'll be back about 16.00 hs. It is possible to go to airport after tour, flight should be after 15-16 hs. Luggage normally stays at hotel during tours. If going to Foz Airport after Brazilian side tour, you can use lockers at welcome center.
