Frau Eicher is looking for a largely barrier-free Antarctica trip

Unfortunately there is no elevator aboard and all decks of the ship are separated by fairly steep stairs. In order to embark the Zodiacs to go ashore, passengers need to be able to go up and down all of these stairs, get all of their waterproof gear and boots on and then there is a metal platform with stairs - they need to have the mobility to step onto the Zodiac and sit down. Then they need to be able to slide across the side of the Zodiac and step out onto the beach or landing site.

Is there an Antarctica adventure tour?

Our Antarctica tour includes 9 nights aboard the G Expedition with 1 night hotel in Ushuaia. Includes Zodiac excursions, expert lectures, waterproof boots, and expedition parka. Accommodation is twin-share hotel and ship cabins with en suite bathrooms. Meals include 10 breakfasts, 8 lunches, 9 dinners. Transportation by G Expedition, Zodiac, private bus, and walking.

Do you offer accommodations for single passengers?

If travelling solo we can room you with another solo traveller of the same gender (all prices online are based on you sharing a cabin). If you'd prefer your own cabin the cost would be approximately double that of a twin share cabin.

Is possible to have a single room?

Yes you can opt to book the whole cabin instead - however please note this will be around twice the price of the price advertised online for a twin share cabin.

Do you have availability for two adults (a couple) what are the cabins choices?

We still have availability for November 22nd departure on the following cabins: Suite - Double - 1 cabin left. Superior - Twin. Main Deck Porthole - Twin. Deluxe - Twin. Note that twin cabins will have two twin beds.

What is the difference, in terms of wildlife and climate, between November 2025 and January 2026?

November is the start of Summer, January is peak Summer. So warmer temperatures, penguins hatching, whales easier to spot etc. Both month's are popular however.

This was probably one of the most extraordinary trips I have ever undertaken. The beauty of Antarctica, the utter strangeness - there is nothing anymore to relate to. Since this trip was organized with so much intelligence and care to every detail, the enormousness of what the trip to this remote area actually implies is completely forgotten by the careless traveler. As a musician I know that, the easier it appears, the more work is behind it to make it appear so. G Adventure and the amazingly competent crew made the impossible possible, and, as it seemed, without effort, which cannot be possible. Nothing went wrong, everything worked ! The G Expedition vessel may be getting on a bit but she is perfect for these expeditions across the Drake Passage and around the Antarctic Peninsula. Very comfortable and perfectly well equipped. But what makes this particular trip so amazing is the crew on board. The expedition crew are inspirational in their enthusiasm for the areas of expertise - I learned so much from them - and they are so utterly professional, yet great company too. The organisation was impeccable and helped take full advantage of the favourable conditions we were lucky enough to get so that we squeezed the very most we could out of this once in a lifetime trip. Add to this exceptional support crew, especially the catering, and it would be hard to ask for more, despite this being a costly trip. The only thing that I could think of tho add would be a masseuse, but hey! Thank you G for an unforgettable trip.Show more

For tours departing after April 29th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with G Adventures. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 45 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
