Duration: 10:00 hs approx. During your stay in Calafate you already have included the tour to Perito Moreno Glacier. On day 12 you have a free day, which you can use as you prefer: explore on your own, add a tour to El Chaltén (full day excursion: morning departure, afternoon return), add a tour within El Calafate (for example: All Glaciers or Cerro Frías). Full Day Tour to El Chaltén from El Calafate: This is an exclusive expedition that starts early in the morning from Calafate, we will take the mythical Route 40 bordering Lago Argentino, we will cross the Santa Cruz river, then continue to the La Leona river, where we will travel through its canyon for 1 hour and 15 minutes to the old La Leona Pass Hotel, where you can have coffee and homemade cakes. From there we will continue bordering Lake Viedma, with the Andes in the background. Before arriving at the town, we will stop at the Viedma Glacier viewpoint from where you can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the glacier, the mountain range and the emblematic Fitz Roy and Torre hills. We will arrive at the mountain town of El Chaltén after 3 hours of travel, having traveled 220 km. From the National Parks Interpretation Center we will begin the hike with an APN guide to the Condors viewpoint. It is a low-difficulty hike that, after just over an hour, takes us to this magnificent viewpoint of the entire mountain range surrounding Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre. After this hike, we will take you to a restaurant in the center of town to enjoy lunch in an atmosphere with an adventurous spirit. In the afternoon we will continue northwest, entering the Valle del Río de las Vueltas. After leaving our vehicle and a short hike with our guide, we will reach Salto del Chorrillo, a beautiful waterfall with crystal clear waters, in a beautiful wooded setting. Passengers will have approximately one hour to explore the town of El Chaltén, enjoy the craft brewery or pass by the waffle shop or a tea house. Later we will begin the return to El Calafate. Todo Glaciares: This incredible boat tour of the glaciers invites you to navigate the waters of the north of Lago Argentino and admire the impressive natural landscapes of the imposing ice walls and huge icebergs of Los Glaciares National Park. The route includes the northern branch of Lago Argentino. The tour covers the Spegazzini and Upsala glaciers, entering the bays they form, and also includes navigation through the iceberg strip located about 20 km from Upsala Glacier. The first part of the route passes through Boca del Diablo, the narrowest part of the lake, from where the boat will head to the Upsala and Spegazzini channels, where we can see the end of the channels and both glaciers. Navigation ventures between magnificent icebergs of many sizes and shapes. We prepare to disembark at Spegazzini Base and begin the visit to the area by walking the forest trail to Spegazzini Refuge. We can have lunch, visit the shop or simply enjoy the landscape. For those who like to hike, they can take the mountain trail. This is a medium-difficulty trekking route through a wooded path with natural viewpoints and full of incredible views. The boats are very well heated and you only need to be on the outer decks if you want to take photos. Cerro Frías: The Frías mountain, 1,095 meters high, is located in the middle of a valley that offers unique views of Lago Argentino and the Andes mountain range. It is possible to see wildlife.
