The airport you arriving at is Eleftherios Venizelos. The tour includes transfers from/to Athens center hotels only. So either you come to the closest meeting point to our terminal from the airport, or we can arrange a separate private transfer for you, both ways.

Is it possible to just organize transfer to Kalambaka? We organized a hotel ourselves already. Would like to be back in Athens on 15th August early afternoon

You mean organize a transfer to Kalambaka from Athens? And you have booked a hotel in Kalambaka on your own? So you want to be meeting the tour guide only? We book our own hotels there, depending on the class you choose and we transfer the travellers by a tour bus. The tour ends in Athens at about 19.00

how much time is spent at monasteries? Do you actually go into any?

We spent about 2 hours in the Meteora monasteries and we visit 2 of them inside.

I see that dates to book this tour jump from Oct 2022 and don't resume until April of 2023. I am looking for something that starts between Jan 12 to January 15. I fly back to the states from Dublin the morning of July 19.

The first day was great, didn’t enjoy day two, picked up by the bus at 13:30, only to stop for lunch 2 minutes later, ( I had just had lunch, I would have held off eating if I was better informed. )then travelled to the next accommodation, no sight seeing day two. Day 3 seeing the monasteries was great but felt a bit rushed. Really a 2 day tour as day 2 was wasted. The guides were very informative which was good.Show more

Offer menu choices not disgusting buffets. Would expect better for supposedly first class hotels. We noticed on part of the tour lunch was at a local eatery not included on our 3 day tour to Delphi. To much time was allowed especially when we were told transport would arrive and leave Delphi hotel at 1:30 only to stop again 5 minutes down the road for others for lunch for over an hour and Half. Poor communications from otherwise excellent guide on both sections of the tour. Return trip to Athens is a long way from Meteora and frantic drop off to over 8 different hotels was inefficient for the driver. On day 1 we were the first collected and day 3 the last dropped. The driver did an excellent job,but perhaps the logistics could be better arrangedShow more
