How late does the tour end? We have a flight at 01:00 on 8 May. What is the transportation during the tour? Is it by bus? I read there is little free time. Is that correct? We are traveling with our 15-year-old son.

The tour shall end around 12 PM. It would be a 15 seater bus but since you are travelling with your son, we can organize a private car for you and your family.

What are the best months of the year to visit for minimal rain and cooler temperatures? My wife also cannot eat very spicy hot food. Is it possible to find easily meals for her? Finally, can we combine two tours together to extend our trip?

From October till March is considered to be the best season. Now these days, all hotels/restaurants offer less spicy food. Yes, you can find food easily everywhere. Yes, you can combine two tours together.

From Madurai, we wish to make an overnight stop in Puducherry, and leave for Chennai the day after. Will that be possible? If so, are you able to help us with transportation Puducherry-Chennai either by car or by train, make an arrangement where we can store our luggage during the day of our visit to Chennai, and with transport to the airport late evening the same date?

Regarding Chennai, I think we will be happy by transport Puducherry-Chennai in the early afternoon. Then we take it from there on our own. (We were thinking it could be an idea to leave our luggage in an hotel or so while we are doing our sightseeings in the late afternoon/early evenings before we leave for the airport. I guess as long as we stop by a hotell, we can make the arrangement ourselves.) How do we book the whole trip? My tour was altered without consultation. I did not have equivalent to what I paid for. Administration was inefficient and I do not believe Travel.com had detailed knowledge of towns on South trip. The houseboat trip was cut short and I did not see backwaters. We merely cruised in the large wide area of the river. I missed out 1day visit to Cochin due to bad planning. I did not notice until 3 days before finish of tour that it was ending on 10th day not 11th. I had to change hotels for 1 night and stay extra day in Madurai. I also paid for all visits and lunch for guide on first part of tour. 2nd guide was only driver who spoke limited broken English. I didn’t have guide at all. Hermender Singh was tour guide. I never met and he was not present on my tour. I would not recommend this firm for South India trip Sheila PhillipsShow more

If somehow you did not meet your expectations, I am really sorry. I am not a Tour Guide and I live at Agra and you travelled to South India. If you have offered lunch for guide, it means you were happy with him. He never asked to have lunch from your money.. In south India, sometimes it happens that drivers are not fluent as we are. I planned all the tour as you told me and suggested me. on Day 9th February, you told that you are flying on 11th February not on 10th. Last minute, I had to arrange a hotel because your hotel was not vacant. Also I paid your Flight Ticket from Bangalore to cochin without any Extra cost.
