Peak summer December-February delivers warmest weather (25-30°C days) but extreme heat (30-35°C) creating midday touring challenges, and maximum crowds. Winter June-August provides excellent stargazing conditions with coldest clearest nights (-5°C to -10°C) and dramatic daytime temperatures (18-25°C), though some high-altitude tours experiencing cold extremes. Easter Island has a subtropical climate, characterized by mild temperatures (16-27°C) and frequent rainfall throughout the year. However, if you're looking for optimal weather conditions, December to March is the best time to visit. During this time, you can enjoy a range of outdoor activities like hiking, snorkeling, while also exploring the island's charming capital town, Hanga Roa. I have 2 questions regarding the trip to Atacama and Easter Island starting on 17.11.2025: 1. I would like more information about booking flights to Easter Island. What is the price of plane tickets to Easter Island? If the tour starts on November 17, the flights should be from the 21st to the 24th, right? According to my research on the skyscanner platform, the flight for these days is very expensive, but if you add an extra night on Easter Island on the 24th and fly back on the 25th, the price is lower. Is it possible to add an extra night on the island? 2. Are the excursions in Atacama on the second and the third day full-day trips? Are Chaxa lagoon, Valley de la muerte, Pukara de Quitor, Door of the sun included?

Flights to/from Easter Island: The only company operating this route is LATAM Airlines. Always the price is very expensive, normally we get a price around U$D 1,200 - 1,500. I just checked and I didn't find availability for your travel dates. November is the most demanding month of year, allmost all classic goups visit the country, and also many big events take place in our country, so prices are higher. The excursions/places included are: Day 2 Morning Atacama Salt Flat, Chaxa Lagoon and Toconao village. Afternoon Moon Valley + 'Tres Marías' + the Coyote Stone lookout (Kari). Day 3 Miscanti & Meñiques lagoons + Red Stone. Pukara de Quitor, Door of the sun are not included.

I am interested in staying in or near the Atacama Desert for four days or so with stays in Santiago for a few days both when I fly in out. A trip to Easter Island might be good to.   The travel is not a group outing. For the regular excursions the amount could be up to 12 passengers in Atacama and up to 20 in Rapa Nui. This can vary due to the amount of reservations we have for those dates. Please note that if your guest would be travelling in high season, so the groups could be full. This interesting experience is done in small group shared tours, which means that she will get to know different people every day, she would not be with the same persons every day.

  The south of Bolivia (border with Chile) is one of the most remote and least touristy places, and the journey from Atacama to Uyuni is a true off-road experience (terrain paths!). Therefore, we must always use 4x4 vehicles (the dry conditions make these tours more accessible and safer) and satellite communications.
