- Day 1
Arrival at Negombo
You'll land at Colombo airport where your tour leader meets you for the drive to Negombo, a coastal town just 20 minutes away. The first day is completely open with no scheduled activities, so if you get in early, spend time at the hotel beach or pool. Come evening, take a walk along the seashore to catch the sunset.

- Day 2
Negombo to Anuradhapura
After breakfast with local tea or coffee, you'll head through rural countryside toward Anuradhapura. Along the way, stop at Munneshwaram Temple, an important Hindu temple complex in the region. Once you reach Anuradhapura, the ancient city where 113 kings ruled for over 1000 years, you'll see the Sri Maha Bodhi tree where Buddha gained enlightenment more than 2200 years ago and Ruwanweliseya, a monument dating back to 140 BC. By evening, you'll check in at your nature resort to relax.

- Day 3
Anuradhapura to Dambulla
Following breakfast, travel through countryside toward Dambulla in the cultural triangle. The morning takes you to Ritigala Forest Monastery for a quiet walk through undisturbed forests (weather permitting). After reaching Dambulla, a cultural village tour by tuk-tuk and boat ride on the water leads to a local farmer's house where you'll learn curry cooking and eat an authentic meal. In the evening, head to Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO site, to watch the sunset and see King Kashyapa's 5th-century palace.

Dambulla to Kandy
Following breakfast, you'll travel toward Kandy, the former capital sitting on a plateau surrounded by tea plantations and rainforests. En route, visit the Royal Cave Temple in Dambulla, a UNESCO site with the largest cave temple complex in Sri Lanka featuring 5 caves with historical artwork. In the afternoon, you'll reach the Temple of the Tooth Relic, another UNESCO site. Later that evening, catch a cultural dance show showcasing traditional Sri Lankan arts and heritage.

Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
The morning brings a journey to Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka's tea country, known as 'Little England' for its colonial buildings. Start at the Gem Museum learning about Sri Lankan gems and jewelry craftsmanship. Then check out the Royal Botanical Garden, one of Asia's finest. As you drive through misty hills covered in green tea plantations, stop at a tea factory to see how Ceylon tea gets made and taste a fresh cup. In the afternoon, walk through the city center and browse the local fruit and vegetable market.

- Day 6
Nuwara Eliya to Ella
The morning features a scenic train journey from Nanu-oya station to Ella village, often called one of the most beautiful hill country train rides. When you arrive, walk around Ella, a nature-friendly spot popular with travelers. You'll see the Nine Arch Bridge, a large structure built from rocks, bricks, and cement without steel. The area is great for walking and climbing, so tackle the trek to Little Adam's Peak. By evening, relax at the village center where restaurants and pubs keep things lively.

Ella to Yala National Park

You'll stop at Ravana waterfall, a popular spot along the way. In the afternoon, a 4x4 jeep safari lets you search for leopards, crocodiles, and baby elephants, timed ideally around sunset.

Your evening is free to explore, so walk along the seashore and find an authentic seafood restaurant where crab curry will likely be on the menu.

- Day 9
South Coast
In the morning, head toward the southern coast with views of the Indian Ocean. You'll reach Galle Fort, a UNESCO site where Dutch and British architecture sits alongside tropical surroundings. Walk through the historic streets seeing how European buildings blend with South Asian design. The old Galle Lighthouse stands on the fort's southeast tip. After that, visit the Turtle Hatchery Center where baby turtles start their ocean journey and injured adults get nursed back to health for release.

Now it's a busy modern city with colorful streets, restaurants, and shopping centers that draw both locals and visitors. You'll visit key spots around the city and can pick up last-minute items. Consider dining at a well-known international restaurant to finish your trip. Afterward, you'll head to the airport for your flight or get dropped at your hotel in Colombo or Negombo.
