We are considering a private road trip to Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Macedonia, Albania, and Greece. We would like to spend 2 full days on a beach in Greece. You can suggest which country/city we should fly to and which country we can fly from to return to our country of origin. We are looking at 2026 end if september beginning of october. Please suggest hie many vacation days should we take to cover all these countries

Unfortunately we are organizing small group trips (Max 14 people) and we don't organize private tours. Such self-guided tour will cause a problem about the rental car which has to be left before leaving any country. Such trip consists of 5-7 different Balkan countries and their procedure for rental car is different. Also there is no regular public transportation. The only way is to join to any tour that follows such itinerary. Our itinerary is 7-day trip and starts in Athens and concludes in Sophia Bulgaria. We have also an extension to Dubrovnik or Bucharest. It will ad 2-3 days on this journey.

Can your tour provider arrange to get us from Thessaloniki to Athens?

We can provide a program from Meteora to Athens inc. an overnight in Athens. There will be an additional cost of 200€ per person. In case you don't want the accommodation in Athens on Day 7 then we can subtract 80€ per person. Total cost will be 1425€ per person.

Astor Hotel is under renovation, unknown to us before arrival. The room had wires exiting the ceiling with no smoke detectors installed. Poor hotel customer service. Hotel had an amazing rooftop breakfast area which was off limits the rest of the day and evening. Unfortunate. Bus tour to Acropolis had a guide, George, who was short tempered and rude who ruined the experience. The ferry tour to three islands was well done. Overall not great value. We could have booked a better hotel and done a couple of tours on our own.Show more

The Astor hotel was in an excellent location and the rooftop had a tremendous view of the Acropolis during breakfast....
The Astor hotel was in an excellent location and the rooftop had a tremendous view of the Acropolis during breakfast. However, the hotel was under construction so there was no cafe or hotel lobby large enough to do anything besides check in/out. The rooftop was closed after breakfast so we could not enjoy the view of the Acropolis at night.The rooms are small. The staff was very good. We should have been told about the construction.Show more
