We are looking for a tour between Nov 28 and Dec 10. Starting and ending in Liberia. We are wondering if we can spend a few extra days at Herradura Beach, then travel to Liberia on Dec 10.

We arrive at 9:11 am in Liberia on Nov. 27 th. We are interested in the Ultimate Escape Tour. How long do we have to wait at the airport before we are transported to out hotel?

What is the definition of a shared transfer? Is this public transportation or if this transportation just for the group?

The description mentions, kayaking, zip lining, rafting etc. what is the cost of these activities?

If we do not book extra activities on Days 2, 3, 4 and 10 are we limited to just staying at the hotel or are we free to tour the parks on our own? Is there an option for transportation only to the parks?

If we do not want to do the tarzan swing in the canopy tour on day 2 is the cost different?

I thought this was a guided tour. We had absolutely no direction. The only thing they do is book your rooms and transportation from place to place. I would never book with them again. I felt for the most part I spent a lot of time being driven somewhere with no idea what to do once there. The description of the optional things to do is very misleading. This was by far my least favorite vacation I have ever been on. If this was explained ahead of time I could have at least checked into things to do. For instance the Ute era ray on day 8 isays head towards the area of Vara Blanca to visit the bewildering la Paz waterfalls and gardens. So one would believe this is something planned and included. Not so! Dropped at hotel and ask about it, sure they can take you. The ride is 73$ and entry to the gardens another 70ish$ per person. I would not book with them again.Show more

So this trip was great for me and what I particularly was looking for. This package is designed to see many places in a short amount of time. Rincon De La Vieja / Arenal /La Fortuna/ Sarapiqui / San Jose / La Paz Watefall Gardens & Animal Sanctuary / Jaco. So on this package you will get to see Rainforests, Tropical Forests, Dry Forests, Volcanos, Rainforest River Channels, Local Lifestyle, Jaco Beach and hundreds of various different types of wildlife that exist in the 28 different Microclimates that exist. Note: I purchased an additional 6 tours on top of the 2 that are included in Tortuguero to include: Safari Hikes, Night Safaris, Hot Springs, Volcano Hikes, ATV package. Because of this I would only reccomend the extra tours for someone physcially fit without limitations. However the two included tours do not require any major physical requirements other than climbing about 12 stairs in and out of a boat. Also after talking to others i realized my tour was relatively less in price than others who paid to come to Costa Rica so this is very good price. HIGHLY RECCOMEND.Show more

The Ultimate Escape Tour organized by Destination Services was truly magical overview of all Costa Rica has to offer. We thoroughly enjoyed the variety of places this tour provided. I would highly recommend this package for folks visiting Costa Rica for the first time. We saw beaches, rainforests, cloud forests as well as a bit of the Caribbean and Pacific coasts. The variety of plants and animals exceeded our wildest expectations and left us wanting more! It would be helpful to have the details of the hotels and pick up times a little sooner than we received them for planning purposes. Also an extra day at Rincon de La Vieja would be helpful for folks arriving late in the day. There were several interesting activities that looked inviting but due to time constraints we were unable to participate in them. They have been added to the list of things to do on our return visit! Loved the country, the people and the Pura Vida attitude of Costa Rica. Phenomenal trip! I highly recommend this package.Show more

  The shared transfer means you will be travelling with more tourists, it is not public transportation service, but it is not private just for you. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that you are going to be traveling with a group. If you book the package and nobody else booked on the same travel dates, we are going to schedule just for you all the activities. For sure you will meet more people on the shared transportation services and in all the tours.

  If the customer doesn't want to book the extra activities in any specific day, they have the freedom to search options with the hotel staff they stay or explore the area by themselves without any problem. They have the option to find UBER service in the country or also ask taxi service in the front desk. The only tours included in this particular itinerary are: Guided hike in Arenal Volcano National Park, guided hike to Tortuguero village, guided boat tour through the Tortuguero Canals. They have the option to ask for the tours even when they already arrive in the country.
