The homestay was the highlight. Lovely people in an idyllic location. Thank you to Maria and her family. The Bird Sanctuary at Thettakkad was hit and miss: some fab birds but the guide was lacklustre. The food at the camp was really good one day, but on another virtually inedible. We were served catfish (ugh!) despite informing the manager that we were veggies. The accommodation on night three was odd: in the middle of nowhere in a hotel with no dining room. Finally, while our driver was helpful, he didn't speak English so things got difficult at times, for example when he wanted us to go to his friend's shop. More challenging was the fact that his manager (Vi) doesn't speak English either and conversations on the phone were excruciating.Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before May 8th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after May 8th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Travel XS. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Travel XS will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
