Itinerary
- Day 1
Garmisch-Partenkirchen
You'll arrive in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and pick up your tour package to kick off your cycling journey through Bavaria. This is your chance to get oriented with the town, check your bike setup, and prepare for the routes ahead.
- Day 2
Garmisch-Partenkirchen to Bad Tölz
Starting from Garmisch-Partenkirchen, you can cycle or catch the train to Mittenwald at the border, then head downward through the Isar River valley. You'll pass through small villages like Grün and Wallgau, ride past the Sylvenstein reservoir and Lengries ski resort, then continue to Bad Tölz where you'll see the town's nice market square.

- Day 3
Bad Tölz
This day takes you along the Lake Constance to Lake Königssee trail heading toward Tegernsee, a popular Bavarian lake backed by mountains. From Gmund you'll get great views of the water. On the way back, you'll take a different route and come across a monastery that has a beer garden if you want to stop.

- Day 4
Bad Tölz to Murnau
You'll cycle from Bad Tölz past Heilbrunn, the former king's spa resort, and stop at the Benediktbeuern monastery, which has been around for 1,250 years and offers free entry and guided tours. After that, you'll ride through moorlands filled with flowers and plants to reach Lake Kochelsee and the village of Murnau.

Murnau
Based in Murnau near Lake Staffelsee, you have choices today. Either take the train to Lake Starnberg and cycle back through the 'blue land' with its many small lakes, or do an all-cycling roundtrip staying within the blue land region itself.

Murnau to Garmisch-Partenkirchen
You'll cycle through the large moorland around Murnau, then follow the Loisach River as it heads back into the mountains through alpine pasture landscape, finishing your ride in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen
Time to head out from Garmisch-Partenkirchen by taking the train to Munich to wrap up your trip. If you prefer, you can book an extra night in Garmisch-Partenkirchen instead and extend your stay.
