The hotels selected were comfortable with great breakfasts each morning. We cannot enough about our guides Nadejda in Turkmenistan and Javlin & Bek in Uzbekistan. They were all very professional and informative along with humorous personalities. They made sure we got to know each country well by the sites we visited and of course the local food. Some days were very long due to distance between the cities but was made comfortable by the vehicle we were in. Made sure we knew all the history of the country and was like our daughter taking us around. Our guides Bek & Javlin in Uzbekistan couldn’t have been nicer. Made sure we tried all the local cuisine and beer. Very attentive at all times. It was such a pleasure touring their beautiful country with them. On occasion we had to go to Plan B but it was just as good as Plan A. There is no direct flight to Ashgabat from other central Asian countries. The only way to get to Ashgabat is from Istanbul, Dubai. No trains either. Only land border crossing through Shabbat or Farab border from Uzbekistan.
