Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Cairo

    You'll land at Cairo International Airport where staff helps with immigration, visa, and customs. After that, transfer to your hotel and get checked in. This gives you time to settle and prepare for the days ahead.

  2. Day 2

    Cairo

    Following breakfast, head to Memphis to see Ramses II's statue and the Alabaster Sphinx. Then move on to Saqqara's necropolis to check out the Stepped Pyramid. Later, you'll reach the Pyramids of Giza and walk around Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure (you'll enter either Khafre or Menkaure pyramid). Before wrapping up, stop by a papyrus center in the Giza area.

  3. Day 3

    Cairo

    After breakfast, spend the day in Cairo hitting the major spots. Start at the Pharaonic Art Museum to see masterpieces across different periods and treasures from Tutankhamun's tomb. Then tour the Citadel of Saladin and the Mosque of Mohamed Ali. In the afternoon, wander through the Coptic neighborhood, visiting the Church of San Sergio where the Holy Family took shelter. End your day walking through the medieval Khan el Khalili bazaar.

    Following breakfast, head to Cairo Airport for a domestic flight to Luxor. Once you arrive, visit the Temples of Karnak and Luxor temple. Then transfer to your Nile River cruise, complete check-in, grab lunch, and settle in for dinner on board that evening.

  5. Day 5

    Luxor to Esna

    Full board cruise day. Cross the Nile to explore the Valley of the Kings necropolis and take in the view of Queen Hatshepsut's Funerary Temple at Deir el Bahari. See the Colossi of Memnon standing in the landscape. Later, sail to Esna, go through the Esna Lock, and continue toward Edfu with the ship moving through the water.

    Full board cruise day. Travel by carriage to visit the Temple of Edfu, dedicated to Horus. Then proceed to Kom Ombo and see its temple honoring the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Haroeris. The cruise continues south toward Aswan where you'll stay overnight on the ship.

    Aswan

    Full board cruise day. Tour the Aswan Dam, an impressive feat of engineering. Visit the quarries nearby to see the Unfinished Obelisk still attached to bedrock. After that, head to the Temple of Philae situated on Agilika island. Return to the cruise for lunch and stay overnight on board.

    After breakfast, leave the cruise and head early by road to Abu Simbel to visit the temples of Ramses II and his wife Nefertari (this part is optional). At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport for your flight back to Cairo, bringing the tour to a close.

The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
