We did the 12 day Classic & Cultural Tour. It was absolutely fantastic from beginning to end. Our Tour guide Jagath went out of his way to make it special for us. On my birthday he organised for the hotel to make a whole cake just for me and sing happy birthday at dinner (It was a really nice cake!). When the airline lost our bags, he was in constant contact with them to make sure we got them back ASAP as we were constantly on the move. In the end he managed to have them delivered to where we were stopping for lunch! He never hurried us along when we were taking longer than expected during the activities which brought us the most joy, and he even organised an additional snorkeling trip with turtles for us (which was incredible). Jagath... YOU ARE THE BEST!!! This tour exceeded our expectations in all ways. There were so many highlights. For us, we loved all the animals. Being able to bath an Elephant and being sprayed with trunk water in the process was something we will remember forever. Seeing them in the wild in such abundance that we actually had to slow down as the cross the road was something we wouldn't have even imagined. The Forrest & mountain landscapes as well as the oceans and rivers are a real sight to behold. Something the don't mention in the tour guide is the opportunity to take the most wild zipline ride over the valley at Ella. DO IT! To have all our breakfasts and dinners covered and with BH arranging a couple of extra days for us in Colombo (be cause we asked) made this such a calm and easy tour. All (except 1) of the hotels we stayed in were absolutely wonderful. Thank you BH Tours, we will definitely travel with you again.Show more

BH Lanka did a poor job in communicating with us the day we arrived in Sri Lanka regarding how we were to meet our tour guide the following day to begin our tour. We learned on the first day of our tour that our driver was just that, a driver and not a tour guide. We expected to have both. There was also confusion on which tour activities we had already paid for in advance and which activities required additional out of pocket expenditures, and there was no guidance on tipping practice in Sri Lanka. With all that said, our driver turned out to be excellent in taking good care of us, accommodating our requests for fitting in additional side trips on our route, and making suggestions to enhance our experience. Having Saranga as our driver ended up saving the day for us regarding this trip.Show more
