  I had the absolute pleasure of having Yasmin as my guide during a 6-week East Coast Australia trip starting 16th February, and she was truly exceptional in every way. From the very beginning, she was gentle, kind, warm, and incredibly grounded, creating a sense of comfort and ease throughout the entire journey. Yasmin clearly has a deep passion for what she does, and it shines through in her knowledge, care, and attention to detail. She went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly, always patient, approachable, and genuinely invested in making the experience meaningful for everyone. Her calm and reassuring presence made the trip feel effortless and safe, while her warmth made it feel like travelling with a close friend.   I had the absolute best time on the 6-week East Coast trip! Everything was so well organised, which completely took the stress out of travelling and allowed me to just enjoy every single moment. From start to finish, the itinerary was balanced perfectly between included experiences and optional activities, so there was something for everyone. The included trips, like the Tablelands and the Whitsundays, were truly unforgettable and felt premium, while optional activities, like skydiving and breakfast with koalas (I highly recommend!!), added even more fun and personalised experiences. Accommodation throughout the trip was excellent, all comfortable hostels and then some really unique experiences like camping on K’gari, which ended up being one of the highlights of the trip for most people. A huge shoutout to our guide, Jack, who was phenomenal. His energy, passion, and enthusiasm brought the trip to life and made everyone feel welcome from day one. He was always checking in, supporting anyone who needed it, and keeping the vibes high, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. If you get Jack, you’re in for a treat 🫶🏻 This trip was not only an incredible way to see Australia’s East Coast but also a truly memorable experience that exceeded all my expectations.   I came on this tour after losing myself back home in the UK. Running myself into the ground I needed a break, and what a break I got. Travelling all up the east coast with ultimate travel is well and truly worth it, especially with an insane tour guide (ZOE) you couldn’t have done any more for us, you helped bring back my old self. You made us feel comfy, always checking up on us, and making sure we had the best time possible. I can gladly say I’ve made friends for life on this trip. I will certainly be travelling down south in the UK and to the Netherlands to visit everyone. Ultimate travel made this happen and Zoe’s bubbly personality to make the whole group love the tour from Sydney all the way up to cairns. Highlights have got to be snorkelling with sharks in the Great Barrier Reef, scootering in magnetic island, bungee jumping and much much more. Don’t hesitate to book this 6 week trip you’ll have the time of your life. Australia I will be back, maybe even permanently.Show more

I would not recommend travelers book this tour, as 6 weeks is too long and all the stops tend to drag on unless an additional activity with an extra cost is booked. However, my biggest issue with this tour is the group dynamic it created. During the tour, there were incidents of homophobic slurs and threats made, sexist and degrading comments toward the women, and general bullying. No serious action was taken by the guide, which helped foster a toxic culture and left us feeling isolated. Moreover, I had issues with Ultimate Travel. When I first arrived in Sydney, they had not booked the room I had paid for. Then they canceled the Sydney Harbour Bridge walk at sunset, so we had to go at a different time. Finally, the Everglades cruise I had paid for was also canceled, and I was told I would have to wait until the tour was over for a refund—until I complained and finally got my money back. Overall, I do not feel that their claim of "stress-free travel" was delivered. If anything, my experience and that of others was quite distressing at times. I would recommend either a 3-week tour if you feel more comfortable with a group or having a company plan your itinerary for you. On the East Coast, we met many solo travellers who chose this option, as it allowed them more freedom while still giving them the opportunity to meet people and travel together, without the toxic group dynamic.Show more

The specific 6 week tour you booked on to is designed to strike a balance between guided activities and free time. We do offer a number of shorter tours and custom itineraries which are suited to customers who are after a faster pace travel style.   We do take pride in our organisation and despite some things being out of our control, we understand the inconvenience caused by the rescheduling and cancellation of some of the optional activities you booked onto.  Refunds are processed weekly to our customers. Sorry for any unnecessary frustration but thank you for your patience.  It’s good to hear your refund was ultimately received in a timely manner.  Our Group Leaders try to foster a positive group experience on our tours so we're sorry to hear about the behaviour you described among group members. Disrespectful behaviour amongst group members is not acceptable so it is disappointing  that your experience was affected by this.   We do not think your tour score is a true reflection of the tour and experience we deliver, but thank you for sharing your comments.
