- Day 1
Urumqi
Your private guide and driver will pick you up at Urumqi airport or railway station and take you to the hotel. If there's time before check-in, you'll head to the Xinjiang Regional Museum to see the famous 'Loulan Beauty' mummy and Han Dynasty brocades. Then it's back to rest up for the days ahead.

- Day 2
Urumqi
Start your morning at Heavenly Lake, where you'll see the blue crescent-shaped lake surrounded by mountains. Later in the afternoon, move on to Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar to walk through Islamic architecture, try local foods, and see the local ethnic customs. From there, it's back to the hotel for the evening.

- Day 3
Urumqi to Turpan
You'll drive about 3.5 hours from Urumqi to Turpan. Check out the Karez System, an ancient desert irrigation method and one of China's three greatest ancient projects. After that, see the Ancient City of Jiaohe, built entirely of rammed earth, then visit the Emin Minaret, Xinjiang's largest ancient pagoda with an adjacent mosque holding over 1,000 people. Check into your Turpan hotel for the night.

- Day 4
Turpan
After breakfast, you'll head out to the Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves located on the Flaming Mountains cliffs. Next, you'll visit the Flaming Mountains themselves where temperatures can hit 70°C/158°F. From there, it's on to Mazha Village in Tuyugou Valley, one of the oldest Uyghur settlements dating back 1,700+ years. You'll finish the day at the ancient ruins of Gaochang city during sunset when the light is best for photos.

Turpan - Kumtag Desert - Urumqi
You'll spend the full day in the Kumtag Desert, about 2 hours from Turpan. There, you can do optional activities like camel riding, sand surfing, or off-road vehicle driving at your own expense. Later in the afternoon, you'll head back to Urumqi via a 4-hour drive to your hotel.

Urumqi to Kashgar
After breakfast, you'll fly from Urumqi to Kashgar. Your guide and driver meet you at the airport to help with check-in. During the day, you'll walk through Kashgar Old Town where 'The Kite Runner' was filmed, check out the Id Kah Mosque which is one of China's largest, and browse Handicraft Street for local crafts and textiles. You'll also relax at the historic 'A Hundred Year Old Tea House' featured in the same film, then finish at the Abakh Khoja Tomb.

Kashgar Departure
Your guide will take you to Kashgar airport for your morning departure flight. Direct flights from there go to major cities like Xian, Beijing, Shanghai, and Chengdu. You also have the option to fly through Urumqi to reach Central Asian countries like Kazakhstan or Kyrgyzstan if you want to extend your travels.
