Is the age range of up to 39 years a hard and fast one or is it more flexible? My wife and I are in our '60s but in excellent condition and are certainly more than capable of "low intensity" activity. We enjoyed our previous tour with G Adventurers in Morocco and would like to do so in Thailand, Laos and Vietnam.

This tour is a part of our 18-30somethings travel style, which is only available for travellers between the ages of 18 - 39 to book onto. Our other travel styles, such as Classic, Active, National Geographic Journeys, etc., do not have any age restrictions.

Is there a risk of logistical delays between tours that could cause me to miss the second tour's start? Can I receive necessary documentation for my visa applications? Can I book only the first tour and receive documentation for both to secure my visas before committing financially to the second tour?

Our tours are set dates so will not 'overrun' therefore you can confidently book tours back to back providing you can arrange flights to get you there in time for the next tour. Visas and entry requirements are the responsibility of the traveler. Please ensure you check these before booking. We do not assist with visa applications, this is something you must do yourself.

I am interested in the tour, but I have one question. It says we sleep in hostel and hotel. I checked one of the hostels and I saw the hostel have mixed dormitory rooms and also private rooms. I want to make sure that the cost that I am asked to pay give me access to a private room for myself. Please, confirm me.

Some nights on this tour will be multi-share. This may involve 4-6 group members sharing a room. The majority of accommodation will have shared bathroom facilities. For the Mekong River Stay, typically, the group is divided into two or more houses. Sleeping arrangements are multi-share in the central living area of the homes. Where we use multi-share hostels, rooming requests of any kind cannot be taken.

Do I sleep with someone else in hostels if I'm traveling with my partner?

A variety of styles of hotels/guest houses are used on this trip. Some nights on this tour will be single sex multi-share. This may involve 4-6 group members sharing a room. The majority of accommodation will have shared bathroom facilities. Accommodation will be varied throughout your adventure: Simple hotels (twin-share), hostels (multi-share), sleeper trains, homestays. Mekong River Homestay typically divides the group into houses with multi-share sleeping arrangements in the central living area. Mattresses, blankets, pillows, and mosquito nets are provided. Bathroom facilities are shared.

Do you guys help with all visas needed? I am wokring full time currently and would love to take this trip in October. I have nevery been to Asia before and just want to make sure I don'tmiss anything crucial.

THAILAND - Most nationalities do not need a visa for Thailand for stays of 30 days or less but if you do they are available on arrival at Bangkok Airport. If staying in Thailand for more than 30 days, you will be required to obtain a tourist visa in advance. Only 15 day tourist visas are issued when entering Thailand overland. VIETNAM - If you require a visa for Vietnam, they need to be arranged ahead of time (BEFORE your trip) as the processing time varies and they are not available upon arrival. If you are entering Vietnam by land border, please apply for a regular visa for Vietnam. Many of the land borders we travel through do not accept the Vietnam E-Visa. LAOS - Visas are issued upon arrival in Laos. You will need two passport size photographs and approx $50. Tourists are generally admitted to Laos for 15 days with a visa on arrival or for 30 days with a visa issued at a Lao embassy. Please bring lots of visa photos with you.

I am very interested in this trip, but I was wondering whether transport from the airport in included when arriving in Ho Chi Ming? Can you also tell me something about the nationalities of participants in previous trips and average age?

Currently, the tour is fully booked however we do have three spaces still waiting to be confirmed. The airport transfer from the airport to the hotel is not included however it would cost an additional 44.00 USD. Travelers confirmed on this departure are from the UK, Europe, North America, and Australiasia. The traveler's ages range from 1990 to the 2000s.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before May 1st, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after May 1st, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with G Adventures. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 45 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and G Adventures will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
