There's a mix of transport on this trip. You'll travel by overnight train, flight, buses and everyone's favourite, tuk-tuks. There's bunk beds on either side of the train which are converted into seats and a dining table during the day. There's a curtain for privacy when you're asleep and a blanket and pillow is provided.

Is it still possible to book to extra day in Hanoi? It takes us to Halong Bay, right? And would I still be able to book a cab through your organization to take me to the airport in Hanoi on March 17th or 18th?

International flights to and from the tour are not included. All flights while on the tour are included. You can upgrade to a private room for £265 (for the room). Room upgrade is available in all destinations except the homestay in Chiang Mai and overnight cruise in Ha Long Bay.

At the moment, we have not made any changes to the route of our tour as Chiang Mai is a major city to visit, and we are confident that our guests can still enjoy the tour with proper precautions. Is Laos still excluded from the itinerary? What is the alternative program? Will water and food be available for purchase in all those locations or will I have to bring it with me? Will there be an opportunity to do laundry anywhere?

No, Laos is now back on the itinerary. Any tour after January 23rd, Laos is on the itinerary. You will be able to buy food and water. At tourist attractions/activity sites, there are usually people selling food and water. On a trek you may be required to buy something before hand to take with you, but your guide will inform you of this. Most hostels offer a laundry service, which you may have to pay extra for. If there is laundry unavailable, there will be launderettes close by. And they are usually very cheap.

Had an amazing time in Thailand. Loved seeing the elephants. However, if you get some sort of cut on yourself do not go into the mud pit. Unless you want an infection. Chiang Mai- The stars you could see at the treehouse were amazing. Saw many shooting stars even though there wasn't a meteor shower that was going on. Zip-lining was great as there were many zip lines to go on. Our group leader, Mai, was amazing. She was so friendly and cared so much about us. Met a lot of amazing people on this trip. Going to Laos was a hassle with what currency the boarder would take. Make sure when you get American dollars they are crisp and absolutely have no writing on them. No rips either! The slow boat should have only been 1 day long, but I heard Feb. is the last month for that. So good. Suggest getting the hot air balloon ride in Laos. I recommend it because I didn't die. Recommend staying an extra day in Vietnam. You can join in on the group activities, but just pay the fees since the tour is over for you. Some of the hostels aren't great, but that's a review for them. Also, when they say biking is easy that's a lie.Show more
