- FFeli· July 9th, 2025Automatic translation available in English. View in EnglishAll the guides were well informed about the country and spoke very good English. Everything ran smoothly and some of the accommodation was nicer than I had expected for youth hostels or hostels. It was always easy to make spontaneous arrangements with the guides. This is the third time I have traveled with DragonTrip and each time I have been delighted and highly satisfiedShow more

Asked on October 19th, 2025Why age limit 45?
The Dragon TripOperator•Written October 2025The age limit is in place mainly for the overall dynamic of the trip. Although the recommended age range is 18-45, the majority of the guests that join this particular trip are aged 18-25 and will be their first time on a backpacking adventure. A moderate level of fitness is recommended for this trip to keep up with the rest of the group.

Asked on March 27th, 2025Could you please share the itinerary, cost with private accommodation, and what kind of train seating is available for overnight journey, etc?
The Dragon TripOperator•Written March 2025There's a mix of transport on this trip. You'll travel by overnight train, flight, buses and everyone's favourite, tuk-tuks. There's bunk beds on either side of the train which are converted into seats and a dining table during the day. There's a curtain for privacy when you're asleep and a blanket and pillow is provided.
The Dragon TripOperator•Written March 2025You'll be able to indulge in the local Thai, Laotian and Vietnamese cuisine. If you get fed up of local food, then there will be western options available. We can cater for vegetarians and vegans too.
The Dragon TripOperator•Written March 2025We use hostel dorm accommodation as standard with the option to upgrade to private accommodation. The private room upgrades aren't available at the homestay in Chiang Mai and during the Ha Long Bay cruise in Vietnam if you opt for the trip extension.

Asked on December 28th, 2024Is it still possible to book to extra day in Hanoi? It takes us to Halong Bay, right? And would I still be able to book a cab through your organization to take me to the airport in Hanoi on March 17th or 18th?

Asked on April 14th, 2023were just wondering if the route of the tour is altered due to the air pollution in Chiang Mai?
The Dragon TripOperator•Written April 2023At the moment, we have not made any changes to the route of our tour as Chiang Mai is a major city to visit, and we are confident that our guests can still enjoy the tour with proper precautions. However, we will continue to keep a close eye on the situation and make any necessary adjustments to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests.

Asked on December 23rd, 2022Is Laos still excluded from the itinerary? What is the alternative program? Will water and food be available for purchase in all those locations or will I have to bring it with me? Will there be an opportunity to do laundry anywhere?
The Dragon TripOperator•Written December 2022No, Laos is now back on the itinerary. Any tour after January 23rd, Laos is on the itinerary. You will be able to buy food and water. At tourist attractions/activity sites, there are usually people selling food and water. On a trek you may be required to buy something before hand to take with you, but your guide will inform you of this. Most hostels offer a laundry service, which you may have to pay extra for. If there is laundry unavailable, there will be launderettes close by. And they are usually very cheap.

Traveler•Written December 2022Is the flight to Vietnam included in the price? Will this be booked for me?
The Dragon TripOperator•Written December 2022Yes, the flight from Laos to Vietnam is included in the trip price, as well as the flight from Thailand to Laos. Our team will book your flights so that you travel together as a group.

Traveler•Written December 2022So I just need to book a flight to Bangkok and a return flight from Hanoi correct? I would love to go on January 9 but it's already fully booked so I have to go in March.
The Dragon TripOperator•Written December 2022You can choose to get a return flight to and from Bangkok and book a short flight from Hanoi to Bangkok as that might be cheaper. That date is already fully booked. And actually, that date does not include Laos on the itinerary. So it is better that you are travelling in March as you will get to see Laos!
