Dear Ara, Due to the location of the lodge in the Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve, there are times that the hot water may be turned off. It is always recommended to speak with the lodge manager and staff so they can help at that moment. They may have turned off the hot water depending on the time of day, or perhaps needed to make a small adjustment. These types of issues are always easy to fix right away at the lodge. Also considering the location, it is a very remote area so the hot water is a great plus, but may sometimes need maintenance. Regarding other passengers from Denmark who have paid less, we do not know who they are and we cannot control where and with who they have booked. All prices are confidential and we do not make guests overpay, the prices we have listed are those given directly by the lodge and we always make sure that they are fair and not raised as we do not want our guests to pay anything overpriced. The food in Cuyabeno is also something to consider, as there are lots of logistics involved to make sure a great variety and good quality are served. Almost everything is brought in and out by canoe manually and the lodge makes sure to always use local and fresh products to support the local communities. We hope you enjoyed your stay and remember the amazing wildlife and flora that the Cuyabeno Reserve has to offer unlike anywhere else in the world!
