DONALD· May 24th, 2025The tour was great and our guide (Kelly) was Excellent. We had poor accommodations in Inverness (the Chiefton) which I would definitely try to avoid. - VQVickie· August 7th, 2024Simon was very knowlegeable about the history of Scotland and nicely wove it into the Outlander story. Very flexible itinerary including many of the participants interests.Show moreTrip date: July 2024
- SKShannon· July 26th, 2024This tour was absolutely wonderful! Simon was a fabulous guide! He made sure that we saw not only everything on the itinerary but as many extras as we could fit in. He knows all the best spots for photos and was so accommodating. Loved staying at Angie’s BnB in Inverness- another wonderful Scottish experience. The small group with such a wonderful, knowledgeable guide made all the difference for us on this tour. We avoided the crowds and had many locations practically to ourselves. Highly recommend this tour- even if you’re not an Outlander fan, but especially if you are!Show moreTrip date: July 2024
- BCBarbara· July 2nd, 2024It was a great tour! I was more interested in the historical and cultural aspects of the sites we visited, but it was fun having the places we visited placed in the context of the show, as well as other movies. Simon was a great tour guide; he is very knowledgeable about Scotland's history, and about Outlander. I traveled solo and the group was great. I stayed in comfortable hotels or B&B's, and Simon had plenty of recommendations for lunch and dinner wherever we stopped. He threw in some bonus sites making the tour even better.Show moreTrip date: May 2024

Asked on November 22nd, 2025can we book a trip with 2 guest only
Rabbie's ToursOperator•Written November 2025We wouldn't be able to organise a private tour just for 2 people. However, if you are worried about minimum numbers, we will operate the tour even if you are the only 2 travelling if that makes sense.

Traveler•Written November 2025We prefer to travel with group. I am from Manchester and i am planning to travel to Edinburgh from 13Dec to 15 Dec. If anything available in these dates that would be great.
Rabbie's ToursOperator•Written November 2025Unfortunately, we are not running this tour throughout the Winter season. We run day tours from Edinburgh or a 2-day Loch Ness, Inverness and Highlands or our 3-day Isle of Skye.

Asked on November 20th, 2025Do you have the option of a Hotel instead of the B&B?
Rabbie's ToursOperator•Written November 2025On the 4-Day Outlander Trail you are able to choose between B&B or Hotel. Some other tours might only have B&Bs, but this should be stated in the accommodation section of the tour page.

Traveler•Written November 2025Would it also be possible to take the Harry Potter Train?
Rabbie's ToursOperator•Written November 2025A private tour as you describe would be starting at around £1,620.00 GBP per day for a 9-hour tour and £265.00 GBP per evening for your drivers' expenses and overnight accommodation.

Asked on September 22nd, 2025Would you be able to offer a triple sharing room
Rabbie's ToursOperator•Written September 2025Family rooms are quite rare in the North of Scotland and we can't guarantee this. The pax can make a booking and request the family room, and our team can try and find one for the duration of the trip. If we were unable to find a family room, then we would need to book 2 rooms and the price would change.

Asked on August 17th, 2025Could you tell me where I can find pictures of the key sites that are visited on this tour. I have clients that are already booked and I'm putting their trip into an itinerary and I'd like to get them excited with some additional pictures.
Rabbie's ToursOperator•Written August 2025You can find more pictures of the places you'll visit on the Tourradar tour page, or directly on our website. You could also just use Google images for the main sights of the tour. These would include Midhope Castle, Linlithgow Palace, Doune Castle, Clava Cairns, Culross and Culloden Battlefield.

Asked on June 7th, 2025Would you confirm that both the hotel option and the B&B option have private bathrooms / are en-suite? What star category are the hotels that you typically book for this tour (3-star?, 4-star?). Is travel insurance required for this tour? What optional sights will this tour visit and do those sights have admissions costs?
Rabbie's ToursOperator•Written June 2025Both the B&B option and the hotel option are en suite. We book 3-star hotels. Whilst we don't require travel insurance for booking, we strongly recommend passengers have travel insurance in place. The attractions included in this tour package are: Doune Castle, Urquhart Castle, Culloden Battlefield, Blackness Castle. Optional attractions include: Midhope Castle: £7.50 per person, Glenfinnan Monument: £5.00 per person, Linlithgow Palace: £10.00 per person, Hopetown House: £14.50 per person.

Asked on March 20th, 2025I am interested in this tour but would be traveling alone. Will I be able to have a private room? Also, about how many hours a day would one be in the bus traveling?
Rabbie's ToursOperator•Written March 2025Yes if you are travelling solo on this tour, we will book you a single room with a private bathroom. Time on the bus varies from day to day, but you are never on the bus for more than 2 hours at a time. On this tour we visit a lot of castles so it will be a case of driving in between the castles, then you have a couple of hours to explore the castle before retuning to the bus and going onto the next one! On average I would say the days start at around 9am and you are dropped off at your accommodation at around 6pm.

Traveler•Written March 2025do all the guests stay in the same overnight accommodations on this trip?
Rabbie's ToursOperator•Written March 2025Yes all passengers will stay in the same towns on the tour, however they will be spread among different Hotels and B&Bs.
