What people love about Germany Tours in March
- Best of Germany
I loved my Best of Germany tour! Saw all the highlights of Germany — from its history to the magic and fairy tale towns. Our tour director Kurt Schwarz went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time — and helped me with my own arrangements to leave the tour for a concert for one day. Our driver Peter was so sweet and excellent. We always felt safe. The hotels were A plus, the breakfasts amazing... and the whole experience was fun and stress free. I would highly recommend... I can’t wait to go back! Thank you Kurt, Trafalgar and Tour Radar for an amazing experience I won’t forget! :D

Hamburg's Miniatur Wunderland ranks as a top choice among TourRadar travelers who often stay at the nearby Hotel Baseler Hof.

March represents shoulder season in Germany with shorter lines at major sites like Neuschwanstein Castle and Berlin's Brandenburg Gate. Properties like Villa Vinum Cochem report reduced bookings making room selection more flexible for travelers.
What unique events or festivals can I experience in Germany during March?
March brings distinctive pre-Easter celebrations across Germany. Frankfurt hosts the Spring Dippemesse featuring local crafts and food. Early March sees carnival celebrations particularly in Rhine cities like Cologne and Koblenz.
Which regions in Germany are best to visit in March?
Bavaria and the Moselle Valley stand out for March visits. Cities like Würzburg and Bamberg host spring festivals in less crowded historic centers. The Moselle Valley's wine regions begin seasonal activities around Cochem and Trier. TourRadar guests at Hotel Deutscher Hof in Trier note: "March is perfect for exploring the UNESCO sites without summer crowds." The Rhine-Main area including Frankfurt and Aschaffenburg balances indoor and outdoor options during variable March weather.
