A good week of cycling. Ebike was essential for less fit riders. Some of the accommodation, whilst well located, was not very good. Guide and support were very good.

The skipper Geoff was amazing, he was very knowledable and made our sailing very enjoyable with his knowledge of the local tourist spots, whether on land or at sea and made as many visits to islands to give us the overall feel of Croatia. We also felt very comfortable with his sailing skills as skipper and would travel again and recommend him to anyone who wants the whole experience. The meals were much better than on shore, there was no shortage of local produce to indulge in and the cooking when we had meals on board sensational. The water wasn't as warm as would be a little later, but gave you the exhilerating experience. The water is so clear and you can see through it like glass, you need to experience it for yourself, not just hear about it.The accomodation was great, we all had our own head (bathroom and toilet) so very private.

Best tour companies for Dalmatia tours
Local customers consistently praise Laganini Tours for cycling trips through Dalmatia, with particular love for owner Tonci who knows every hidden corner of the region and makes sure you're staying in quality hotels and eating excellent meals. If you need a more budget-conscious choice, G Adventures runs a great sailing route from Dubrovnik to Split - their skipper Marin gets lots of mentions from our travelers for sharing fascinating local stories and finding those special spots most tourists miss. Intro Travel's Croatia Sail Adventure is another solid pick, especially if you want a well-planned itinerary. Tour leader Anna gets glowing feedback for making everyone feel part of the group and helping create genuine Croatian experiences. For those interested in a proper cruise, Katarina Line stands out - their ships are well-maintained and the crew runs a tight ship, quite literally. Nature Trips delivers good experiences too, though some of our clients mention occasional schedule mix-ups, but they say the overall journey more than makes up for any small hiccups. These companies really understand what makes Croatia special - they'll get you to the right places and introduce you to local culture without making it feel too touristy or rushed. The guides take pride in showing you their home country, and it shows in how they work.

- Spring 2026
Spring cycling along the Dalmatian coast really comes into its own during May when the temperature hits that sweet spot for longer rides. Our cyclists love following old Roman roads on Hvar before heading down quiet coastal routes to Jelsa. If you prefer a gentler pace, our sailing tours connect Split to Dubrovnik with plenty of quiet bays for swimming stops along the way. The spring months are perfect for diving into culture too - you'll find fewer people at UNESCO sites like Diocletian's Palace and Korčula's old town, giving you space to really explore. Walking tours blend city visits with national parks, and Plitvice Lakes puts on quite a show in spring when the waterfalls run full force. For cyclists looking for a challenge, we've got support vehicles backing up those uphill climbs, so you can tackle those viewpoints at whatever pace works for you.

- Summer 2026
Summer opens up our widest range of coastal experiences. Our island-hopping boats make daily swimming stops in clear blue bays and visit beaches like Zlatni Rat. Travelers tell us they love mixing cultural visits to Split, Hvar and also Korčula with refreshing dips away from busy harbors. Active tours start with morning activities then ease into afternoon relaxation - you might cycle through Pelješac's wine country then cool off at secluded beaches. Families based on Lopud Island get a nice mix of kayaking, swimming and guided walks plus plenty of beach time. Young adult tours hit that perfect balance between culture and social life, from exploring Dubrovnik's walls during the day to catching sunset drinks at beach bars in the evening.

- Fall / Autumn 2026
Fall brings some of our most popular tours, with fewer tourists around but sea temperatures staying warm enough for swimming right through October. It's an excellent time for cultural visits - you can really take your time at Diocletian's Palace or walk Dubrovnik's walls without the summer crowds. Wine tours work especially well now, timing visits with grape harvests on Hvar and also Korčula. Cyclists appreciate the cooler weather for longer rides through olive groves and coastal roads. Our island-hopping cruises keep running through autumn, and guests often mention how nice it is having places like Mljet's salt lakes more to themselves. The mix of good weather, smaller groups and local harvest festivals creates perfect conditions for making real connections with local culture.
