I happen to arrive in Thailand in the evening of Sunday 15th March 2026. Will depart on Wedn 25th March. I would have been interested in this tour called 'Experience Thailand'. Would it be possible to jump on this tour from DAY 4 only (and get a price adjusted accordingly)? am single and would want single accommodation.

Can you accommodate a 95-year-old Buddhist nun in the group that will need a wheelchair for long walks?

Unfortunately, we do not provide wheelchairs, so please kindly bring your own. Please also note that the attractions in this program are best explored on foot, and some areas include staircases.

I am interested in this tour for January 2026. My week is flexible. Are other people booked, if so what dates? Is English the only language that will be spoken?

I am potentially interested in this tour, and am wondering about the amenities on the transportation vehicle. What kind of vehicle is used to drive us around to different sites, and will that vehicle have a bathroom on it? If not, will there be bathroom stops for longer rides (over 1-2 hours)?

Our vehicle used for our is a minivan no bathroom on it. On the way if you would like to go to bathroom; please inform the tour guide then our driver will stop at the petrol station.

We had a fantastic trip to Thailand. We were a family of 8 adults. From the time Mr. Boon met us at the airport, he provided us excellent service and was a knowledgeable and friendly guide. The tour: Experience Thailand 9 Days - Bangkok to the North, Small Group Tour was perfect for us. We had so many great experiences. Some of our favorites were biking through the national park, boat rides through canals of jungle, watching how they make coconut sugar candy, our boat ride to Loas, making elephant poo paper and the up close train street with the folding markets and seeing floating markets. We learned about all the different temples we went to. Mr. Boon was very knowledgeable in explaining the different traditions and religious significance in each temple. Mr. Boon and our driver knot would even rearrange the order of sites some time so that we didn’t have to wait in long lines or stand in the heat for long period of time. Theyalways made sure that we had cold water. They were very considerate and looked out for us. The meals were delicious and in fun beautiful settings. We also had amazing wonderful hotel rooms. ( we did do the hotel upgrade) We saw so many fun things and did so many cool experiences that it’s hard to cover it all in a single review. We have such wonderful memories to take home and share.Show more

The main issue we had was with our guide. Joe was very pleasant, but did not speak very good English and did not talk much during the whole tour. The first few days in Bangkok we felt very rushed, for instance we only spent 45 minutes in the Grand Palace, and finished both days and were back in our hotel by 2pm each day. There was also very little information given, for instance at the Railway market Joe told us the meeting point and time to be back and then we were left to our own devices. We saw other groups, with their guide suggesting the best vantage spot etc, while we just had to guess. Initially we just put this down to the heat, but even as we travelled north this pattern continued. Joe would sleep the whole trip, or talk to the driver in Thai, we'd arrive at a site and he'd show us one feature then just wait for us all to return to the bus. Again, we only spent 45 minutes at the Ayutthaya Unesco site and when questioned about certain attractions I'd heard about he just said that Thailand is "full of temples" and couldn't understand what i was asking about. He was then very pleased that we arrived at our hotels well ahead of schedule every day. To us, it seemed as though Joe was either burnt out, or bored - he did not appear to have any interest in showing us all the finer details of the sites or telling us about the history behind things. I felt we did alot of driving with very little time spent at the sites, and in fact I would have preferred to drive myself or get a driver, as there was very little benefit in having a guide and a driver in reality. I felt that the time visiting the Golden Triangle, was a waste, but again maybe if we had more information it would have been more interesting. We have since done day tours with other people and found them to be much better - their English was better, they provided much more information and were happy to answer our questions. The accommodation, itinerary, food, and bus were all otherwise great. Also, I would suggest in future that the survey you request is done online, as we were given a paper survey that Joe insisted we complete before he left (early) on Monday afternoon (note, tour finished Tuesday) - it makes it very difficult to write negative feedback knowing that he can read it.Show more

- Cholera - Recommended for Thailand. Ideally 2 weeks before travel.
- Tuberculosis - Recommended for Thailand. Ideally 3 months before travel.
- Hepatitis B - Recommended for Thailand. Ideally 2 months before travel.
- Yellow fever - Certificate of vaccination required if arriving from an area with a risk of yellow fever transmission for Thailand. Ideally 10 days before travel.
- Japanese B encephalitis - Recommended for Thailand. Ideally 1 month before travel.
Visa
- Unfortunately we cannot offer you a visa application service. Whether you need a visa or not depends on your nationality and where you wish to travel. Assuming your home country does not have a visa agreement with the country you're planning to visit, you will need to apply for a visa in advance of your scheduled departure.
- Here is an indication for which countries you might need a visa. Please contact the local embassy for help applying for visas to these places.
Payment information
- For any tour departing before September 4th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after September 4th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Destination Services Thailand. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Destination Services Thailand will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "Destination Services Thailand" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
Cancellation Policy
- Your money is safe with TourRadar, as we only pay the tour operator after your tour has departed.
- TourRadar is an authorized Agent of Destination Services Thailand. Please familiarize yourself with the Destination Services Thailand payment, cancellation and refund conditions.
