Overall the tour was really great. What i liked: all communicating with TR from initial booking to the end. All tour reps/guides. They were all spot on time, very friendly, informative, relatable. The feeling of confidence in TRs management of the tour and me while allowing me plenty of time to do my own exploring and create my own experiences of Shimla. Could do better: my hotel wasn't up to scratch. Mainly due to levels of simple cleanliness. I sorted this out with the hotel and all staff were very responsive, friendly but it really wasn't good. Basic standards not adhered to. Also the breakfasts seemed to be an afterthought. On one day I needed to pro actively ask for them to make me something as the usual fare wasn't available. C'mon.. this isn't what I should expect.Show more

Great 4 day Shimla Tour from Delhi. The whole trip was well coordinated from start to finish, we were picked up from our hotel, fast train to Kalka where we were met by our Shimla guide, Mr Dev, who put us on the Toy train to Shimla. Mr Dev followed the train by car & checked in with us at the longer station stops along the way, then picked us up in Shimla and took us to our hotel. we had arranged for an upgrade on the hotel and it was well worth the extra. hotel Willow Banks was a good hotel and made the trip much more enjoyable. we had a half day tour of Shimla the following day, then 1 1/2 free days before being picked up at the hotel and driven back to Kaka taking the fast train back to Delhi. We were picked up from the train and taken back to our hotel by a very cheerful driver.Show more

The drivers and guides were brilliant - couldn’t ask for more from them in terms of attention, knowledge and good humour. The hotel was very comfortable but cold and gloomy in the corridors. And the long awaited train ride was long and uncomfortable and slightly underwhelming tbh. Ask for an upgrade to First Class if possible. Enjoyed exploring Shimla and learned a lot, so bar a few caveats, would recommend this tour.Show more
