  A great way to travel to India as a Westerner who wants to see the highlights of it, while not having to deal with all the chaos by oneself. Getting taken care of for all important things like transportation, accommodation, and safe food in pre-chosen restaurants was the main reason I went with this tour, and it didn't disappoint. Of course, one has to deal with the insanity of India and be prepared for it, but taking this tour greatly reduces stress in that regard. One has to be aware that even though the hotels were good for indian standards, the cleanliness overall was questionable from a European point of view. Also, be informed that you will be dropped off at pre-chosen shops, gas stations and so on, which have questionable pricing (which can be haggled down nevertheless). It wasn't really a game-changer for me, but be aware of that. Because of the whole situation with the war in the Middle East and flight cancellations, my tour had to be rescheduled, which was done free of charge by the tour company, for which I am grateful. The tour company did a great job of organising the tour and being responsive from the booking onwards.Show more

He is also a very nice person and easy to get along with. Tour guides were mostly effective except for one at Jaipur. The one at the Agra was great.Show more

  Swastik was great to work with on designing a private tour on either side of a wedding we were attending in Delhi. When I made a mistake and booked a flight to Dharamshala, arriving in Amritsar, Karni was very accommodating and found us an excellent driver who could take us to Dharamshala and back. Our drivers were fabulous - taking great care of us all along the way! We even had dinner at our Driver‘s house in Jaipur. It was lovely to meet his family. The tour guides were very good as well - very entertaining and informative. We learned to tell the tour guides at the beginning of each day that we didn’t want to be taken to a showroom to buy anything. This was after a hard sale at a Kashmir rug store. We chose the four star hotel package and would recommend the upgrade to five star if you can swing it. For our 11 nights stay it would have cost us $450 per person more, but it would’ve been worth it to have cleaner hotels and in better locations. We would definitely tour with Swastik Tours again!!Show more

  The tour was pretty good, we loved most of our time in India. Our flight to start was delayed by an hour, and then it took almost an hour to get through customs in India, so we were finally able to get our day started in Delhi around 12pm. We'll, because of the long 4 hour drive that evening to Jaipur, our tour guide only took us to one monument instead of the entire list or at least more of it, as listed in the itinerary. So we really didnt see any of Delhi. Felt a little like we didnt get our money's worth on the first day. Our driver for most of the trip was great except he had very, very limited English, so some things got lost in translation. And we were stuffed into a very small car, making the long 4 and 5 hour road trips quite uncomfortable for us tall people.Show more

  I would definitely recommend this touring company, especially if you have never been to India before. They were flexible, courteous and trustworthy and it was fantastic to be greeted at the airport and looked after for 6 days. Good, comfortable hotels with hearty food included. The sites were amazing and the friendly tour guides cut through the touts and ticket lines. The only downside was getting the hard sell from associated souvenir sellers, but you just have to be polite but firm. As an Australian I wasn’t prepared for all the tipping, so keep some extra cash handy to dash the tour guides and driver. Huge thanks to our driver Himmat. Great guy.Show more

  As a solo female traveler I felt very good in the tour. Everything was organized perfectly. The guides, who change in each city, were very knowledgeable and took time to explain all the details from the places we visited, speacially Mr. Dudu in Agra . But the highlight was my driver, Mr. Lakhan Singh, he was with me for 5 days, made me feel very safe, even took me out for dinner one day to a very traditional restaurant, and took me wherever I wanted to in my free time. Will definitely recommend this tour to friends and family.Show more
