How large is the boat for the 1st part of the trip? How bad are the sea waves in terms of sea sickness?

Usually the route from Piraeus port to Santorini port is performed by Blue Star Delos boat. Vessel Features: Length (m): 145,90 / Width (m): 23,2 / Cabins: 32 / Passenger capacity: 2.400 / Garage capacity: 430 vehicles or 600 lane meters. As for the sea waves it depends on the weather but as it's not an ocean I assume it wouldn't be so rough.

I'm looking for honeymoon packages to Greece and Turkey. Can you tell me if this package can be customised into a honeymoon package?

Colours of Mediterranean Tour is a regular tour therefore it is not possible to customize it.

Could you please let this traveller know if they would be able to get translation devices to translate this tour into spanish?

We do not offer translation devices for our tours into Spanish, as our tours are conducted in person with a tour guide.

Is it possible to make the tour longer or shorter? How is it going to work? How much more for staying longer in Istanbul Hotel we should pay? How much less for making the trip shorter, if possible?

It is possible to make the tour longer by adding a few more nights after the tour in Istanbul but it's not possible to make it shorter; i.e. if you don't want to skip any highlights. By skipping some of the highlights included in Colours of Mediterranean Tour in Turkey, you can make it shorter but not sure which you may want to skip. I'd recommend not to, as all are worth visiting.

We recently returned from our group tour to Greece and Turkey and while there were certainly memorable moments, there were also some areas that could have been improved. Some of the hotels provided were very good and comfortable, which we appreciated. However, a few of the accommodations did not meet the standard we were expecting for this type of trip. It would be helpful if hotel quality could be more consistent throughout the itinerary. In terms of meals, we enjoyed the 5 included dinners in Turkey, but we felt that it would have been more balanced to include at least a few meals—either lunch or dinner—while in Greece as well. One major point of concern was the travel time between cities. We spent two full days on the road, which felt like a loss of valuable touring time. These long bus journeys were tiring and left very little opportunity for sightseeing or rest. Lastly, we only had one full day in Istanbul, which was not enough to truly explore and enjoy such a rich and vibrant city. Many members of our group were disappointed that we couldn’t spend more time there, especially since it’s such a highlight of the region. Overall, we appreciated the effort that went into planning this trip, but we believe that with better time distribution, improved hotel selection, and a more balanced meal plan, the experience could have been significantly better.Show more

Your booking originated through our Colours of the Mediterranean tour page on TourRadar. As such, our offer was initially based on the itinerary and structure of that specific tour, assuming that was the program you were interested in. The itinerary mentions that the Greek Island segment is semi-independent, where accommodation, ferry tickets, and transfers are arranged, but no tour leader is included for that portion. However, as your booking was for a private tour, we went a step further and assigned our experienced tour leader to accompany your group through the islands to ensure a smooth and supported experience. This was not something we had originally included in the quoted price, but we were happy to provide it to enhance your comfort and service. Being a private tour, the itinerary, accommodations, duration, and inclusions were all flexible and could have been customized prior to booking. For example: The single full day in Istanbul was chosen as part of the custom itinerary. If your group wished to spend more time there, additional nights or post-tour accommodation could have easily been arranged upon request. The hotels and rooming arrangements were shared with you before the tour was booked, giving you the option to request upgrades or changes at that time. Likewise, additional optional tours or excursions—particularly on the islands—could have been requested in advance or on-site through your tour leader, as she was available throughout your stay. Regarding the travel time: the movement between Greece and Turkey and the island-hopping segments do involve some long travel days, especially considering ferry availability and the need to cross international borders. These were clearly outlined in the itinerary that was provided and agreed upon before the trip. We worked within the best ferry schedules available at the time to ensure your transfers were as efficient as possible. As for meals, the Turkish portion of the tour included five dinners as specified. The Greek portion, as a semi-independent segment, was designed to give guests freedom to explore local dining options. If your group had preferred a more inclusive meal plan in Greece, we would have gladly arranged that as part of the customization before booking. We always aim to deliver personalized service and clear communication throughout the planning process, and we’re sorry to hear that some expectations were not fully met. Your feedback is invaluable, and we will continue to refine logistics to future travelers. It was a pleasure organizing this tour for your group, and we do hope to welcome you again in the future.

  How early do I need my hotel rooms for extended stay in Istanbul? Are the rate of the rooms on sale till Feb 15th? Would you please clarify how much will it be for double occupancy with breakfast in Canadian dollar? How early do we need to book the rooms?   With all our tours visiting Cappadocia, we pre-book hot air balloon ride which you can book and confirm with your guide when you are in Turkey. It is advised to do so as sometimes it gets cancelled due to weather conditions. It's best to book closer to the day you're in Cappadocia.
