    • Intrepid TravelOperatorWritten February 2026

All of the optional activities can be booked in destination with your local leader. Most vendors accept credit cards but some of he smaller ones only take cash, if this is the case the leader will let you know in advance and if you need to take money out just let them know and they will assist you.

      1. You say that single supplement starts at $680. That is not definitive. Please give an exact $. 2. Your website says that the flight from Lima to Quito in not included in trip cost. Why is flight from Quito to San Cristobal Island include in trip cost and the other is not? What is extra cost for this flight? 3. This hike to the volcano is described as 17 Km and takes 5-6 hours. Please give more details of this hike. What is distance to and from? Does hike take 5-6 hours to get to the volcano or is that the total time for the complete hike?

    • Intrepid TravelOperatorWritten September 2022

      1. Single Supplement is $680 USD but is subject to change. 2. Flight is included you will depart your homestay and take a bus to Juliaca airport (approximately 2 hours). In the afternoon take an included flight back to Lima (approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes). 3. 17 KM would be the full distance (10.5 miles) and will take 5 - 6 hours total depending on rest stops etc.
