I found him rude, his humor off color and my daughter and I felt like we were being led by a bored teacher rather than an informational guide. As a instructor myself, I understand how hard it is to keep a group together and on time. He also handled a bathroom emergency on the bus very indiscreetly and embarrassed and humiliated my daughter in front of the whole group. He focused far more attention on his french descriptions and messed up facts left and right. On our way back to Athens we spent 2 hours with another guide and learned more and got more enjoyment from the 2 hours with her than the whole time with Matthew.Show more

They just outsource everything to GO Greece travel agent. You can save hefty middleman fees. Also they wanted to charge almost double the internet rate for a hotel for extension of stay. In Santorini, although they stated a four star hotel, El Greco, they replaced it with Theoxania Hotel, not an equivalent. Understanderbly, El Greco was closed but the local agent tried to argue that the hotels are the same. Please go google and reach your own conclusion. Traveler•Written November 2016Greece's climate changes drastically, with cold winters and hot summers. In Greece from late March to May, spring brings with it average temperatures of around 15C, though the weather does gradually warm up with sunny days interspersed with rain showers. From May to the end of October, the climate is hot and sunny, getting cooler as the year progresses. By the end of October you can expect the first of the winter snows. So you must pack for cool and potentially wet conditions late in the year.
