This tour accommodates a maximum of 52 guests. This ensures a comfortable group size while still allowing you to enjoy the social aspect of traveling with others.

I am looking to travel to Italy in June 2024 with my girlfriend. I have a few questions about personalizing this tour. 1. What is the price of this tour if it's private for 2 adults? 2. I'm not sure how to organize flying from the US to Palermo, it seems many US airlines do not offer flights straight to Palermo. I'm wondering if there's any way to organize this tour so it starts and ends in Rome.

We only offer a group and do not offer a private for two passengers, and the cost is $5,050.00 per person in a twin room. Group size: average 40 to 45 guests, maximum of 48 guests.

My husband has bad knees and can not walk long distance. Any opportunity to have a wheel chair available for his bad days. How much walking in any given day?

We cannot provide your husband with a wheelchair. Hence, he can always bring his own; there is only one wheelchair per trip or tour. He needs to have a companion who will assist him with pushing the wheelchair and ascending or descending the coach steps. Wheelchairs and walkers both need to be fully collapsible and non-motorized.

how many hotel changes? how many nights on each hotel?

As your preferred departure date is not until 19th September 2024, the hotel list is not yet finalised and we are therefore unable to provide you yet the final list of hotels and the number of nights you'll be staying on each hotel.

Is it possible to do Savoca and Mt Etna excursions in the same day?

I took the 2 week Best of Italy and Sicily Tour with Trafalgar this month. I had previously done a 10 day tour with Trafalgar sister company, Insight Vacations (referred to as their luxury brand tour). To be honest, I did not notice many differences between the luxury level of the two different tours. We were on the same type of bus and even stayed at one of the same hotels on both tours. The itinerary for this tour was fabulous as it hit all the main tourist attractions that one would want to see both in Sicily and on the Main land. However, the tour director on this trip was not as organized and efficient as the one on the previous Insight Vacations tour. He spent a great deal of time joking and clowning around instead of answering the questions posed that would have enable things to be better organized. Also, several times members of the group, who had limited mobility, were left behind and struggled to keep up with him and the rest of the group and, on a few occasions, he gave different instructions to different people in the group in regard to where we would meet up again which caused a great deal of confusion. That being said, while his joking / clowning style was a bit of a put off for me, there were others on the tour that were more amused by him than I was – but even they often complained about how disorganized some of the outings were due to his poor communication style. I felt that the optional excursions were worth the extra money and I was very satisfied with each of the local tour guides except that most of them did not use a flag or some sort of visual aid that would have made it easier to find them (while other groups tour guides used these regularly with their group). One of the female local guides was only about 5 feet tall, had no flag or visual aid to help us to locate her, and my travel companion and I lost her and only were able to find the group again when someone from another tour group told us that our group had done down an alternate path. All in all, it was a good trip and we met some wonderful people on it who have become friends that we will see again now that we’re back in the states - but I would have appreciated getting more pertinent info and less clowning around and joking from the tour director.Show more
