Itinerary
- Day 1
Marlay Park to Enniskerry
Starting at Marlay Park in South Dublin, you'll head into the Dublin hills on gentle paths that climb toward some really nice views of the city and coastline. The route takes you through forestry tracks and rockier sections, past Fairy Castle and into Glencullen Forest before crossing into Glencree. By evening you'll finish near Enniskerry village.

- Day 2
Enniskerry to Roundwood
After breakfast, you're back on the trail through Crone Wood and alongside Powerscourt Waterfall in Powerscourt Deerpark. The path continues into Dargle Valley and around Djouce Mountain, where you'll pass Lough Tay (that famous Braveheart film location) before reaching Roundwood. Pack enough snacks and water because there aren't shops along this stretch.

Roundwood to Glendalough
From near Roundwood, you'll walk quiet country roads and climb Paddock Hill, which is a bird sanctuary for Irish Red Grouse. Throughout the day you're on winding grassy tracks through valleys with good views toward Glendalough Valley. Forest trails with Scots Pines and other conifers eventually lead you to Glendalough and the 6th century monastic site of St Kevin.

- Day 4
Glendalough Rest Day
This is your rest day in Glendalough to recover and explore at your own pace. If you want to stay active, there are optional loop walks within the valley, or you can relax and grab a meal at one of the local pubs. The area sits in Wicklow Mountains National Park and centers around St Kevin's 6th century monastery.

- Day 5
Glendalough to Glenmalure
Walking from Glendalough valley, you'll head alongside the lower lake toward the upper lake, then use steps to climb the Spinc with views over the upper lake and the entire valley. From there the trail goes around Mullacor Mountain into Glenmalure, a place with a lot of history including major battles, particularly during 1798.

Glenmalure to Aughrim
Starting at Drumgoff crossroads, you'll pass the ruins of an old British Army barracks to reach Drumgoff Gap. Forest tracks beside Slieve Mann take you down to the Ow Valley at the base of Lugnaquilla, the highest mountain in Leinster. Old grass roads lead you to Iron Bridge, where your accommodation provider picks you up.

Aughrim to Tinahealy
From Iron Bridge, you'll start with a gradual ascent across Ballyteigue Bridge and head south-westward near Ballygobban Mountain. The route goes through Sheilstown Forest and along tiny country roads and grassy hillside paths. By the end of the day you'll reach the quiet rural village of Tinahealy.

Tinahealy to Shillelagh
The trail follows the Muskeagh Boreen to Mullinacuff and Stranakelly crossroads, where Tallon's Pub (known locally as 'The Dying Cow') is a good spot to mark hitting 100km. From there, small country lanes and forestry trails through Stranakelly lead to Shillelagh, an estate village.

Shillelagh to Clonegal
On your final day, you'll walk through nice broadleaf forests and pass through Raheenakit Forest. A quieter country road takes you to Moylisha Hill and the Moylisha Dolmen, a burial tomb from around 1100 BC. The trail ends in Clonegal at the southern tip of County Wicklow, where you can celebrate at Osborne's Pub before your pre-arranged transfer to Bunclody.
