Itinerary
- Day 1
Phnom Penh
You'll arrive in Phnom Penh and connect with your local leader at a 5 pm welcome meeting. If your flight gets in early, there's time to walk around and see the French colonial architecture scattered throughout the city before heading out for dinner. Try traditional dishes like beef lok lak or fish amok at a local restaurant to get a feel for Cambodian food right away.

- Day 2
Phnom Penh
This morning you'll ride in a cyclo (bicycle rickshaw) through Phnom Penh, getting views of historic buildings along the riverfront that you wouldn't see from a regular vehicle. Head to the Royal Palace's private quarters and the sacred Silver Pagoda within the complex. The afternoon is yours to explore at your own pace, with suggestions from your leader if you need them.

Phnom Penh to Battambang
A private bus takes you to Battambang, Cambodia's second-largest city. Along the way, you'll stop at a pottery workshop in Kampong Chhnang to learn how traditional pottery is made. Once you arrive in Battambang, you can take an optional city tour if you're up for it, then spend the evening at a local's house for home-cooked dinner and a chance to meet some residents.

- Day 4
Battambang
Spend half the day biking through the countryside around Battambang, pedaling past rural areas and local cottage industries. You'll see sticky rice being cooked in bamboo, watch rice paper made by hand, taste dried bananas, and observe how fish paste gets made. After lunch, the afternoon is open for swimming at your accommodation's pool or wandering around the city on your own.

Battambang to Siem Reap
After breakfast, a private minivan takes you to Siem Reap, which sits near the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Angkor Archaeological Park. You can browse Siem Reap's day and night markets, get a Khmer massage or spa treatment, or just sit at cafes and restaurants. Later, after checking into your accommodation, tuk-tuks will take you to the Rokkhak Women Handicraft centre where you can watch weavers work and try water hyacinth weaving yourself.

Siem Reap
Following breakfast, a guided tuk-tuk tour takes you through the Angkor temples via a local social enterprise. You'll explore the iconic Angkor Wat, the grand Bayon, and the jungle-covered Ta Prohm, all built by the Khmer Empire over a thousand years ago. There's time for family photos and spotting monkeys on the temple ruins. Tonight you'll head to Phare the Cambodian Circus, which features modern Khmer stories with theatre, music, dance, acrobatics, and contortion acts.

Siem Reap
You'll learn to cook Cambodian food with a hands-on cooking class. Start by shopping at a local morning market for fresh ingredients, then move to the kitchen where a chef walks you through each ingredient and helps your family prepare lunch. The afternoon is free to relax or visit Banteay Srey temple, the Banteay Srei Butterfly Centre, or the Landmine Museum (best for older kids). An optional group dinner is available tonight to wrap up.
