    5.0 - Excellent

The trip was excellent from start to finish there were only 4 passengers but we all had a cabin each the boat was huge 82 ft very clean and all mod cons a captain cook and CEO were all fantastic food was super a great variety with lots of fresh fish we snorkled every day swam and kayaking if we wanted weather permitting. October not the best month for sailing but I wouldn't change it as we still had a fabulous time if your not a good swimmer they could do with some variety of different aids such as noodles or waist boys i will bring my own the next time to be sure. The CEO was very helpful he did all he could to help us and was very knowledgeable the captain Lee always there for us waiting in the dinghy for hours on end we felt so safe. CEO always by our side the cook catching fish for dinner really beautiful..

    2.0 - Rather poor

Our trip was the half trip, Phi Phi to Phuket. We are experienced live aboard boaters and sailors. We found the catamaran to be in poor repair and poorly outfitted, the destinations very crowded, when snorkeling the water often had feces from all flushed toilets from all the boats, and our trip was in the first part of April and every day was over 100 degrees farenheit. Since there is no air conditioning ( a shock for an 82' cat) many of the guests were vying for space on deck at night to try and sleep and in any shady places in the day to avoid over exposure. Also, the captain was an experienced dive boat captain but had only 3 months sailing experience. I think this was a missed opportunity for us to have a really great experience. It's a combination of this area becomming far too crowded, the cat being in bad repair (our room alone had two malfunctioning hatches- one letting in sea water), and the very hot weather with no respite day or night. Also, there is no autopilot on the boat (again a shock for an 82 foot cat) so as the inexperienced captain tried to set the sails the boat would drift off in the wrong direction and none of the crew would help him. He even got clocked bad once by an accidental jibe, and almost let himself get chewed up by a winch. I think if you are young or an inexperienced boater, this might be all in good fun. But at $1,300 per person you would expect more.

I spent a whole week on a beautiful 24m long catamaran boat in the Andaman sea and here is what I experienced: warm, sunny weather, delicious & healthy thai food done by our private chef on board, crystal clear waters, tons of colorful fish, white sandy beaches, stunning sunsets, great thai massage, fresh mango & coconut shakes, big bucket parties, night swimming with phosphorescent plankton, millions of stars accompanied by amazing people from all over the world!! Definitely a different way to explore beautiful Thailand and to relax!

Questions & Answers

Here we have collected and answered the most frequently asked questions about this tour.

    • What is the best time to go on this tour?

January is peak season in Thailand and there is a reason for that — the weather is great. Both the Gulf and Andaman coasts will be seeing a lot of sunshine with little to very infrequent rain. Temperatures will oscillate around the low 20s to low 30s mark.

    • I'll be travelling alone, will I get my own room, or will I be sharing?

An optional single supplement is available for this trip, if you want to have you own room. However if you are happy to share, you will be roomed with another passenger of the same gender.

    • Is there an extra charge for going solo?

Solo travellers are not charged a mandatory single supplement. You will be matched with another single traveller of similar age and same gender. We can request a single room upgrade at any time.
