  is there a way to upgrade the hotels for this tour? Also, I'm 52 but very active. Is there an age limit for this tour?

    There is no way to upgrade hotels on the tour, this is an 18-39 tour where travellers will be staying in a mix of hotels and hostels in multishare rooms. Since this tour is a part of our 18-30somethings travel style, which is only available for travellers between the ages of 18 - 39 to book onto.

    Here is a list of the optional activities you can add: La Fortuna- Ecotermales Hot Springs (64USD per person), La Fortuna Waterfall Swim (20USD per person), Arenal Volcano Park Hike (53USD per person), Hanging Bridges (75USD per person).   Looking for a trip for our high school seniors. They are 17. The package says ages 18+. Confirming that they would not be allowed since they aren't 18 yet.

    Yes that is correct our tours are 18+ however we could put you in contact with our private groups team who could help find a tour that will work in that setting. We don't offer any customised tours, but we can run one of the tours selected from our website as a private departure for your group. Typical private group size is 8 or more.

    This tour is an 18-thirtysomethings tour which uses Hostels (Mutlishare) for most nights, single occupancy is not an option for this tour. If you would like to stay extra nights near the beach, you would need to book this on your on as this tour ends in San Jose and we can only offer additional nights booking at the ending hotel in San Jose.

    The 'Costa Rica: Ocean Waves & Sunsets' tour is part of the '18 to 30 somethings' travel style so all travellers booked on these tours must be between the ages of 18 to 39. We do have two family tours in Costa Rica that we can recommend!

  I am 32 and looking for a trip with people similar in age late 20's to late 30's to explore Costa Rica. I am looking for right around Christmas and into the first week in Jan. Dates are flexible.

    Usually for our Journeys style tours the travellers tend to be in their 50's-70's. I did see we have the December 18-31 departure which currently has 4 people confirmed on it who are all in their 40's, but we could have more travellers book on it who are in different age ranges. If you were wanting to travel with people in your age range I would recommend the 18-thirty somethings tours which are for travellers from 18-39, I would recommend the Basic Costa Rica: Coastlines & Cloud Forests tour.

    Generally speaking on 18 to 39 yrs old tours, we do have many travelers in their 20s, more than in their 30s (generally 60/40 percent) We could also check the demographics for a specific departure and give you an idea of the travellers signed up, before you book

  First question it says to age 39. I'm 40 so is that ok? Next question if I book and need to change dates (not cancel ) for any reason can I without a charge?can I do single room ? Last question can I add a tour later?

    This tour is a part of our 18-30somethings travel style, which is only available for travellers between the ages of 18 - 39 to book onto. A 20% deposit is required to confirm a trip. This deposit is non refundable, however, if the tour is cancelled it becomes lifetime deposit on file for future use. If you decide to change the date up to 30 days prior to departure, we can cancel and book on the new date, and use the lifetime deposit towards it, so you will not lose it. You can book your own room for an additional charge. There are a few optional activities that can be pre booked, and it can be added later.

    the tour is specifically designed for 18 - 39 year old travellers. As you don't fit within that age bracket we won't be able to book you on this trip.

    Unfortunately, there is no way for us to customize the tour. If you wanted to stay in Montezuma longer, you would need to sign off the tour and make your own arrangements back to San Jose. You would not be reimbursed for the unused services.

    No, we cannot make an exception to the age range for this tour's travel style. Our 18-to-30 Somethings tours are designed for travellers aged 18-39 years old wishing to form interpersonal connections with travellers around their age. Travellers must be 39 years old or younger (but at least 18 years old) as of Day 1 of the departure date of the tour.
