San José
You'll arrive in San José whenever works for your flight. There's nothing scheduled until the evening when you'll meet up with your CEO and other travelers at a welcome meeting. It's a good chance to settle in and get oriented before things kick off tomorrow.

San José to La Fortuna
Head out early for the drive to Sarapiqu with some nice views of the Costa Rican countryside along the way. You'll stop at Mi Cafecito Community Coffee Plantation, which G Adventures supports, where you can learn how the project helps locals and try their coffee. After that, keep driving toward Arenal and La Fortuna. You'll have the rest of the afternoon free, so you can start exploring on your own or just relax.

La Fortuna
This whole day is yours to do what you want around La Fortuna. There are tons of options like hiking through the jungle, swimming at La Fortuna waterfall, trying canyoning, or just looking for local wildlife and Arenal Volcano views. Later in the day, you can soak in natural hot springs if that sounds good. It's a flexible day to do as much or as little as you feel like.

You'll drive across Lake Arenal and up through the cloud forest on your way to Monteverde. Once you arrive, you're going on a guided night walk with a local guide who'll show you how the jungle comes alive after dark. Later you'll have time to wander around and get a feel for this cloud forest area.

Monteverde
Take the full day to explore Monteverde's cloud forest however you like. Monteverde to Quepos
Travel toward the Pacific Coast and Quepos, which sits right near Manuel Antonio National Park.
