You'll arrive in Zurich and get settled into your hotel. The CosmosGO app is there if you want to start checking things out on your own schedule. This evening you'll meet up with your tour director and the rest of the group before heading to dinner.

- Day 2
Zurich - Appenzell - Liechtenstein - St. Moritz
Today you're driving through several Swiss cantons, starting with a stop in Appenzell to see the Old Town and its 16th-century Town Hall. After that, you'll head to Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein, then pass through Heidiland and the Rhine Valley. You'll climb up Julier Pass into the Grisons region and arrive in St. Moritz, which hosted two Winter Olympic Games and remains a favorite spot for European royalty and celebrities.

- Day 3
St. Moritz
The whole day is yours to explore the Engadin valley resort on your own. St. Moritz sits in a nice setting with forests, a lake, and mountains around it, with plenty of sunny days throughout the year. You can wander through St. Moritz Dorf with its grand hotels and upscale shops, or check out St. Moritz Bad with its ice rink, mineral baths, and lakeside walk.

St. Moritz - Bernina Express Train to Tirano - Lugano
You'll board the Bernina Express train in St. Moritz and ride across Bernina Pass down to Tirano in Italy's Valtellina region, passing through the Swiss village of Poschiavo on the way. Once you rejoin the coach, you'll travel to the shores of Lake Lugano.

Lugano - Lake Maggiore - Zermatt Area
You'll explore Lugano's highlights before heading to Lake Maggiore, Italy's second-largest lake. There's an optional boat trip available to visit Isola Bella and its palazzo if you're interested. After that, you'll head back into Switzerland through Simplon Pass and arrive at your resort, which is surrounded by Switzerland's highest mountains including the Matterhorn.

- Day 6
Zermatt Area - Lausanne Area
Zermatt is car-free, so you'll take an alpine train from Täsch to get there. You can try local foods like raclette or fondue, pick up a Swiss watch or Swiss Army knife, or ride the Gornergrat Bahn cog railway up to 10,132 feet for views of the Matterhorn. Later you'll rejoin the coach in Täsch and head through vineyards and apricot groves in the lower Rhône Valley toward Lake Geneva.

Landmarks Lausanne Geneva - Day 8
Lausanne Area - Gruyères - Bern - Interlaken - Lucerne
You'll stop first in Gruyères to visit a local cheese factory. Then it's on to Bern, Switzerland's 12th-century capital, where the Old Town has medieval buildings, covered shops, fountains, and the Zytglogge clock tower from 1530. After that, you'll drive along Lake Thun, stop in Interlaken, and cross Brünig Pass to reach Lucerne.

Lucerne - Zurich
Lucerne sits on its own lake right under the snow-capped Alps. You'll see the cobblestone streets with painted buildings, the Chapel Bridge, and the Lion Monument. There's an optional funicular ride or a cable car option up to Stanserhorn if you're interested in higher views. Later you'll head back to Zurich for the night.
