Is this something I can book for just myself and my wife?

Our Family Holidays are exclusively for those travelling with their children. However, we do have some other Borneo tour options that are open to all if you're looking for any other suggestions.

I would like to book the Borneo Family Adventure for myself and my 2 adventurous children (ages 10 and 4). We are good travellers. Is there a way of allowing my younger on the trip please?

The minimum age for children on this trip is 5 years old. Most children travelling on Intrepid Family trips are between 10 and 14 years old. Could you please advise us the date of birth of your youngest child?

Is it possible for us to all stay in the same room?

Wherever possible we will put you in a triple room. Please be aware that in some places triple rooms are in short supply. This means that a triple room will often be a twin room with a rollaway bed or mattress on the floor. Where triple rooms aren't available it will be at your discretion which of your family takes the single room.

I need to know if you can arrange transfers from & to kota kinabalu airport and if the daily transfers are included in the package

Transportation while on tour is included. Intrepid Travel offers a pre arranged airport transfer service option and can be arranged at additional cost.

This trip doesn't run in january 2024. We have available dates in march 2024 if you're interested.

Does all the accommodation on the Borneo Family tour have private bathroom facilities?

Most of the accommodation have private bathroom except at Accommodation at Day 2 and Day3-4.

Is this tour suitable for a family with a 2-year-old child? Do you have an alternative adventure in Borneo that could be better suited for them?

Unfortunately to join this intrepid tour the minimum age should be 5. All tours the minimum age should be 5 years and above.

How does the international return flight to Melb. work? Is it up to the passenger/s to book it or do you book it. Why isn't it included as happens in most tours?

Our tours do not include international flights to/from your home city as we have passengers from all over the world therefore the price of flights changes quite drastically from city to city (or country to country). Most of the transport on ground in included however you would have to book your return international travel independently.

Our tour guide was amazing and so knowledgeable which made things easier for getting around and being comfortable in another country. We thoroughly enjoyed the activities and even ones that were out of our comfort zone. Payment information
- For any tour departing before August 24th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after August 24th, 2026, a minimum payment of $400 is required to confirm your booking with Intrepid Travel. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Intrepid Travel will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
