The CEO didn't help us with much. We didn't get much information about the places we visited nor did we spend much time with her. She didn't seem very interested in doing her job at all or even talking to us. I went on a turtle tour in Mancora that was terrible. Riding in a rocky boat packed to the brim with people aimlessly for 30 minutes was not a good time. And I never received the photos of me with the turtles and was given no way to contact the tour company. How disappointing. I thought we could trust the tours recommended but I was wrong. I was also very disappointed with our experience in the city of Chiclayo, a place where there was hardly any tourism. We went out for the day at around 11.30am after having a crappy sleep on a night bus and came back later to a list of stuff for us to do but it was too late by then. And the note said we should watch out for pick pocketing. Well that didn't help me at all, I would've liked to have known that before I went out to the street. Many of the people on the tour wanted to stay in Mancora instead of going to Chiclayo, including myself. Chiclayo definitely wasn't worth visiting at all. None of us signed up for that. Even though circumstances were out of everyones hands with the pope visiting it's not fair to just dump up into the closest city without any other options available. Despite our ceo asking her supervisors if we could stay in Mancora (as the majority of us wanted) we were not allowed to and were very disappointed. What a waste of two days it was and taking a very uncomfortable bus in the night made it worse. I honestly expected a better experience with G adventures and as it was my first experience with them I'll likely be pretty reluctant to try another tour with them.

    5.0 - Excellent

Quito to Lima adventure was amazing. The jungle homestay part was amazing- away from technology and back with nature. The use of public transportation let you experience the local life. The beach life was experienced. The culture of ruins was also explored. The CEO was great. You change place about every 2-3 days which is ideal. It's a good way to see Ecuador and Peru. Highly recommend it.

    4.5 - Excellent

Absolutely amazing experience. I was so nervous about going on a tour by myself but I had nothing to worry about. The tour guide was brilliant and everything was very well organised. It was perfect for me as a young traveler wanting an adventure! A highlight for me was the homestay in the amazon jungle - the family were so welcoming and willing to share their lifestyle with us. I would go again in a heartbeat!
