Overall the trip was good, the guide was great and the organisation was perfect. I think the optional activities are overpriced, and some should be included like Abu Simbel. The visit in Aswan just takes you to the Philae temple despite costing 50 USD , unlike many others that take you to the high Dam and the unfinished obelisc for similar or even cheaper rates. The homestay doesn't make much sense, not real interaction with the family, no info about who they are or what they do, and not much about the Nubian people, so it doesn't add much... 2 days in the feluca not going anywhere feel a bit too much too. But in general I really enjoyed it.Show more

Saw lots of animals on the road, as we were driving in the van between towns. There was a lot of driving - 2860km over the 8 days but if we had flown, we would not have seen these - cheetah, ostrich, many elephants and more. We were glad we did the extra unincluded activities as without these, we may not have seen all the animals we had expected to see. Defo do the helicopter over the Okavango Delta and the afternoon safari in Chobe as well as the sunset cruise. As we didn’t see rhino, we added a private game reserve back at Victoria Falls, where we had an awesome time seeing them. Only 6 in our van which made it very comfortable. Many potholes in the roads in the 3 countries so some slow driving and long travel days. We had a great guide - Moses was friendly, helpful, informative and we all enjoyed his stories and info, and a good driver. Good accommodation and it was good to have 2 nights in the Delta and 2 in Kasane. Food was good - too good as put on 3 kilos as no exercise really as driving most days. Would I do this again - yes for a first timer but would do differently second time round. Maybe stay inside a Game Reserve and safari every day would be ideal but obviously more expensive. This one was pretty good value for money I think.Show more

Everything about the trip is wonderful except for some travelers who were not prepared for the camping parts of the trip. They underestimated the skills required to set up and disassemble the tents. Maybe it's a good idea for the guide and other staff to demonstrate how to set up a tent and how to take it down. It needs to be pointed out that the food cooked by the staff chef was excellent throughout the trip.Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before November 24th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after November 24th, 2026, a minimum payment of $400 is required to confirm your booking with Intrepid Travel. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
