Casablanca
You'll touch down in Casablanca, Morocco's largest city, and have the afternoon to check out the Hassan II Mosque, one of the world's largest religious structures. The mosque sits right on the coast, which makes it a striking sight. After you've had time to walk around and take in the space, head to your accommodation and settle in for the night.

Casablanca - Rabat - Assilah
This morning you're heading out of Casablanca toward Rabat, the capital city. You'll see Hassan Tower and the Kasbah of the Udayas, both key historical spots that give you a sense of the city's past. By afternoon you'll continue south to Assilah, a quiet coastal town known for its art scene. It's the kind of place where you can wander around and spot local galleries mixed in with whitewashed buildings. You'll spend the night there.

- Day 3
Assilah - Tangier - Rif Mountains - Chefchaouen
Starting from Assilah, you'll walk through the whitewashed medina and along the seaside ramparts, getting a feel for the coastal atmosphere. Then you're heading north to Tangier to check out the Kasbah and the American Legation Museum, plus you'll find the spot where the Mediterranean and Atlantic meet. After that you're traveling inland through the Rif Mountains, passing through rolling hills, forests, and small traditional villages. By evening you'll arrive in Chefchaouen, the Blue City, where you can explore the painted streets and soak in the peaceful mountain setting.

Today is all about Chefchaouen. You'll wander through the blue-washed streets, checking out the historic kasbah and taking in the calm mountain atmosphere. There's not much else to do except walk around and soak in the quiet vibe, which is kind of the point of being here.

Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Meknes - Fes
Before leaving Chefchaouen, you'll take one more walk through the blue-painted medina. Then you're heading south to Volubilis to see Morocco's finest Roman ruins with some impressive mosaics and arches. After that you'll stop in Meknes, one of Morocco's imperial cities, where you can see Bab Mansour and the royal granaries. Later in the afternoon you'll arrive in Fes and have time to start exploring its UNESCO-listed medina, historic madrasas, and busy souks.

Fes
You're spending the full day in Fes Medina. Start at Bab Bou Jeloud, the iconic blue gate, and then move through the narrow alleys where you'll find souks, artisan workshops, and spice stalls everywhere. You'll visit Al Quaraouiyine University and Bou Inania Madrasa, stop at the famous tanneries for views over the city, and explore the bustling markets mixed in with quieter residential neighborhoods. By the end of the day your feet will probably be tired but you'll have gotten a real sense of the place.

Leaving Fes this morning, you're heading toward the Middle Atlas Mountains. You'll stop in Ifrane, a clean town with alpine-style architecture that feels different from the rest of Morocco. Then you'll drive through cedar forests near Azrou before reaching Midelt, which sits between mountain ranges. From there you're traveling south through changing landscapes, passing through the lush Ziz Valley with its palm groves and traditional ksour. By evening you'll arrive in Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara, where you can try camel rides and get ready for a desert camp experience.

After that you're crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n'Tichka Pass with stops for panoramic views.
